Q: History: Which nation contributed the most toward the end of WWII?

I came across an excellent article ...

https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2016/03/20/history-as-propaganda-...

the ussr did the brunt of the fighting. they turned the tide before d-day.the ussr may have won even without a western front. air loses were about the same for the germans on either front, so it's difficult to say what would have happened if they could have concentrated all their air power on the one front. the germans may have have been able to counter attack on the eastern front. a much larger version of the battle of the bulge

in the eastern theatre the americans were pretty much solely responsible for the defeat of the japanese. formidile though they were, they werent germans

This is not a simple answer. Fight, Brits (gotta look at all theatres) , materials, the US and you have to understand that if it weren't for Stalin Germany would have been tougher to handle.

Take away one and Germany could've won

It would have been impossible without US industry suppliers to all Allied countries with ammo Tanks Planes and Ships and all the other stuff that was pumped out of American factories.

Germans killed 8 Russian for every man on the front. Russia had 10 canons for every one canon of the Germans.  If your troops are so bad that you have to pound a positon for 3 days with canon fire and you still lose men 8 to 1 which was the battle tactics at the time, and then you rape a million German women when the battle is over, nobody cares what you contributed and certainly no one respects you on a battlefield. Russian troops are an absolute fucking joke, but don't tell anybody, that does not help spend money with scare tactics for the military industrial complex of America.

I have fought with Russians in the middle east and when they are sober, they perform average, Libyans are actually better soldiers and the Syrians despite bad leadership.

As philbravery said, it would have been impossible for Britain to fight Germany without US industrial support, most notably in the Second Battle of El Alamein in which American built Sherman tanks made the decisive difference in stopping Rommel from taking Egypt, crossing the Suez and capturing vital oilfields.

I say it was the German bomber pilots who got lost and dumped their bombs on London. If it had not been for that, the battle of Britain would have been lost, Britain would have been invaded, and the Americans would have had no staging post from which to liberate Europe.

A:Wow, you really found that nitpicky talking point that elevates the fossil fuel industry to the same level as the interests of humanity. Isn't it all just a "liberal" scam, if you don't look too closely at the absence of logic? "Yes, it must be. My masters are hinting that that's what I should believe!"

You've made it clear you are consciously ignoring the pollution and global warming. Since your handlers, the conservative establishment whose dismantling of the carbon credit system and environmental destruction you choose to ignore, have made it clear you should bark in this direction, you are eager to please!

Such an admirably domesticated, dependable, subservient human. I'm sure your handlers will throw you a bone while they bring home the bacon for themselves. You're so obedient, you deserve a doggie cookie! Who's a good boy? You are! Yes, you are. U-S-A! Woof woof woof! -- coineineagh
