Q: How can you watch this and NOT get angry?

Yeah...

http://www.chinasmack.com/2014/pictures/chinese-girl-bludgeoned-to-death-in-shandong-mcdonalds.html

This just shocked me... China never ceases.

A group of 5-6 Thugs (exit a Porshe)... one or two being female, one being a 13 year-old buy and 4 other guys (one with a metal pole). Doesn't really sound too intimidating does it? Well, one of them asks a girl for her number.

She refuses and they beat her to death in a Mac Donalds. Was it empty? Did anyone help? No.

If you watch near the end of the video... hard to watch... three guys are outside just recording it with their phones ( I assume there was probably more than three males). Nobody helps... if they all rushed the group, they young girl could be alive. Instead the great, brave men of China hide outside and record it with their phones...? no

Not to mention the brave Chinese men (4-5 guys and a metal pole) to gang up and beat a extremely dangerous young girl to death... what heroes!

This just pisses me off, how cowardly they are... I really wish I could have been there... or just one foreign male that wouldn't be a bitch and run out of the place and then video tape it from outside. Poor girl...

At least the police caught them but still... expect NO help from anyone if you get in trouble here... they don't even help defenseless young Chinese women getting beat to death.

Fucking grow a pair you mainland pussies!

I know people are citing it is dangerous to get involved. Don't be a hero... you will end up dead. But I don't think I could hold myself back... I would be so damn enraged I would tear through those 5 Chinese guys like the paper tigers they are.

Cracked skull, broken arm... broken ribs... I don't care... I couldn't live with myself anyway if I just sat there and watched that... I would be compelled to do SOMETHING other than just sit there and record it.

For civilized people it is impossible to just site and watch someone get beaten to death. They either run  away or intervene.

That tells you all you need to know about China.

If I saw this, I would pull out my knife and start slitting the throats of the men beating this poor girl. I wouldn't even think twice about it, I wouldn't hesitate... those boys would all be proudly displaying their brand new Neck Smiley(tm).

Then I'd go to the porsche and perform a ghetto carjacking to get the hell out of the country.

"The attackers asked the girl for her telephone number. The girl refused to give it, so the five thugs viciously beat the girl, pushing the girl down onto the ground kicking her head, and bashed her head in with a steel pole, even breaking the steel pole, beating the young girl to death."

Couldn't help but have a huge fucking flashback while reading this. In China, I've had my head kicked in, punched, and beaten with a metal pole that actually broke over my head. Ended up with a nice dent in my forehead that you can still see when I squint.

Chinese don't care about others... they don't care about human lives other than their own. That's why the rest of those cowards just sat there watching instead of trying to help. I would've fucking killed each and every single one of them.

Women are second-class citizens in China, and they'd better behave if they want to survive. Fucking disgusting. These men should all be executed. This girl would still be alive today if the bystanders weren't such fucking cowards.

Now do you see why I always carry weapons in China? It's because of reasons like this. It's better to have a deadly weapon and not need it, than need it and be defenseless.

"Stop criticizing the person who filmed the video. In that kind of situation, I think just daring to record evidence was already really brave."

With quite a few Chinese people making comments like these, they are precisely the reason why nothing happened to stop that! Geez.
I couldn't watch the video because it was filmed with a potato camera by a coward who couldn't even manage to keep his hand steady.

Chinese apparently think that loitering left and right, barely managing to hold their crappy camera with their trembling hands is "brave." I'm in disbelief. Come on China!!!!!

As much as I would say I would do whatever I could to stop them, including beating that fucker to death myself, we really don't know the entire picture.  See other comments below.

"The guy filming had gone up to stop it, and not just once, but one of the accomplices confronted him and said whoever interfered would die. He was probably with his girlfriend, so he had someone he had to protect. Those below who are criticizing/attacking him, I bet some of you would have long ago fled and disappeared without a trace upon encountering this scene."

"The reason the view in the video is constantly unsteady/not upright is precisely because the person filming was himself thinking of how to intervene. He also had his girlfriend by his side, someone he had to protect. Moreover, in the video, the person filming did things trying to stop them, but there were a lot of attackers, and that woman also screamed that whoever interfered would die and such. Who among the vast majority of us ordinary common people have encountered such a situation? Only when it happens to you do you know the pain, fear, and grief involved. So let’s first observe a moment of silence for the departed, okay?"

There was another story about a Chinese man who let a group of neighbors beat and rape his wife while he hid under the table.

He admitted he was a coward. Maybe the rest of these "men" should admit they are cowards too... so then the women who look to them for protection can rethink their position around these "men".

I haven't watched the video - I haven't become that immune to things.

However, I've read some of the comments (here and there). Firstly, it's obvious to me that this was 100% pre-meditate... who walks into a Maccas carrying a steel pole?? If some of them were telling people not to get involved or they'd be killed as well... they already knew what was going to happen. I suspect they also knew the girl in question. This is the Chinese version of gangland violence ... but instead of drive-by shootings, or run in, run out... it's far more in your face - cos the gangs are the ones with the mommies and daddies who control the place. In our countries, this doesn't happen (too often) because our police aren't so scared of the thug, and no-one's got enough clout to control the police. The gangs back home come from the economic minority and social outcast/underprivileged. Here, it's the reverse.

I read one comment I thought ridiculous - "For this kind of thing, where someone is beat to death, to happen in a place of business operated by McDonald’s, and for McDonald’s to not have taken any action to intervene or maintain order, McDonald’s is at least violating the Consumer Rights Protection Law. McDonald’s therefore bears an unshirkable responsibility. While pursuing criminal responsibility against the thugs, McDonald’s should be required to pay compensation."

Ummm.. yeah, let's pass the blame to Maccas for a girl beaten to death there - not anyone of the customers who could have done something to prevent it!!!

I haven't watched the video, and probably won't. I don't have the stomach for it. Just reading the article was bad enough. There's no aspect of it that isn't disgusting.

Just saw this article which gives some more information about the worthless scum involved in the attack. If the article is true they're involved in some sort of religious cult.

Hey, it is still a step above what went down earlier this week in Pakistan: cannot find the link but a young woman was stoned to death, with her family participating, in front of a courthouse in Lahore, for choosing a husband other than the one the family chose. I watched the video of the McD's attack and was shaking in anger, but could not stomach watching a girl stoned to death by her own family.

His prison interview has him saying that the girl was evil, presumably because she didn't want to join them, so they beat her to death.

There's no curing that kind of crazy.

This kind of shit is so fucked up I wish the authority execute those thugs by the same way in public and hang their head, I know this probably won't make things better but perhaps it will send a warning message to other thugs/assholes like them.

Considering the violence that lies smoldering in the heart of the Chinese people due to their culture of impotence against their father and the emperor, is it any surprise that when they freak out and join a crazy cult they go crazy violent...

...lest you think I'm making this up, please refer to the Brotherhood of the Harmonious Fists...

This makes me mad!!! i wouldn't care how bad i got hurt , I would take several down with me , i could not watch as this unfolds. I was taught to defend the weak ones especially a woman.

If anyone tried that with my friends around I would have to kick ass take names and numbers later.....just my thoughts..................and the way I feel.

Apparently these people are members of a religious sect.

And yes Chinese men are the biggest cowards on Earth, is there anyone living here who didn't know that yet? And no catcalling a single foreigner when they are 20 is not a proof of courage, it does not make them look strong and proud. It has to do with both education and the corrupted courts of this country.

Chinese men were never taught by their parents to face danger and stand for what is right, they were taught to hide or flee from any danger and close their eyes on anything that is morally wrong, they were taught that they can't be strong unless they outnumber the danger at least 10 VS 1.

As for the courts, if you see a rich kid in his Lamborghini breaking the rules (like driving on the wrong side of the road) and bumping in a tricycle then getting out of his car to beat the poor person you are better to not try to stop him, if he is rich that's because his father is well connected and you won't stand a chance at the local court.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
