Q: How dangerous is this road?

Based on your traveling experience, what risk level of sitting in, or driving one of those cars on that road would you assign? Location --- India. Have you had similar experiences, be it in china or elsewhere?

If you were on a bus the best thing to do would be to try to go to sleep for that part of the trip.

One thing is for sure, the first time the driver tried speeding, recklessly overtaking or reading messages on his phone while driving he'd have a bus load of passengers screaming at him.

I love bus rides! I am on the local (1 Rmb surprisevs. taxi for 10 Rmb) weekly and long distance rides are my fav.

Shenzhen to Fuzhou .... front bed/seat with i-Pod & UE ('100%-noise-block') earplugs, battery charger and off we go.

I did a bus ride in Nepal last year, which was ..... interesting, 'cause in Nepal 'road' often suddenly turns into the river and after 100 or so meters became 'road' again.

You can also see valley some 150 -200 m below out of the seat's window.

I felt 'victorious' hehe by thinking of some poor sod, who's walking the mountain ....

I bus myself in February from Delhi to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh on the night ride, sleeping most of the trip.

My biggest miss was bus ride from Kasghar, Xinjiang to Taskhurgan over Khorakoram pass on the highest elevation of 5500 m (18k feet) and last stop in Gilgit, Pakistan ....'cause Pak's Bj Embassy wouldn't grant 30-days visa.

One Pajee in Camden told me, Pak could be very dangerous, 'cause of my blue eyes. It means sumtin' devilish .... in Baltistan's 'religion'.  He didn't say anything about bus ride&dangerous .....

I'll have another try with Pak.'s visa soon.

Dangerous? Don't you think, comet can also be pretty dangerous? I do! he he

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
