you can download the latest versions of some of these free proxies. but you may still need a proxy to obtain the google search results for these proxies. the irony.
hotspot shield (has ads but really fast)
freegate (not stable. on and off)
ultrasurf (one of the best, really fast.. though some sites you may not be able to access. works for youtube and facebook though)
My personal favorite is the firefox add-on cocoon. you can get it at getcocoon dot com.And that site is not blocked. Its free for the first 45 days but ive had it for the last year and a half with no problems.

Re cocoon it triggers my virus scanner as being a "back-door trojan" and the virus scanner will not allow to load. Also when I visited the site, I provided them the information requested and instead of "the welcome email", I received a lot of spam. Thank God I am on a Linux-based system.

Hi Nigel, try Securitales to access Facebook in china. It is a great service which I use whenever I travel to China. I am able to access Facebook, Youtube and Twitter... and many more censored websites. You can try it out for free first as well. Enjoy your trip!

Install TOR into your puter and Opera OS with complimentary VNP (which might be disabled in China), but TOR has installed 'bridges' to circumvent 'fire wall' in China.

Did you know 'zucker' means 'sugar' in Germanic  script? ... and 'berg' comes close to 'hill' or 'mountain'?

https://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/chinas-scary-social-credit-system-made-in-usa-by-google-facebook/

So google and facebook gave china a social credit system for future earnings and business that will never happen and screwed privacy that will manifest itself to the rest of the world. Great liberal nerds looking out for us. Such a humbling experience.

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
