Q: How do you remove browser hijackers that redirect to hidemyass.com and fbk.g00p.com?
I have a new Lenovo laptop and I'm using SSLedge Falcon Proxy just as on my older Lenovo laptop, and have been fighting to keep Google on the new one after it upgraded from Win 7 to 10. Found that the Chinese version of Win 10 has IE (actually its replacement) bundled with browser hijacker websites baidu.com and hao123.com. I've run Spyhunter to locate and manually delete every instance of them. Now, I have the return of a problem I had in the past here, YouTube and IMDB are redirected to hidemyass.com, and Facebook is redirected to fbk.g00p.com. Adguard recognizes it as dangerous. Does anyone know how to remove the trojan(

So, let me get this straight - you bought a Chinese computer in China, and the first thing you did WASN'T to format, erase and then start again from scratch with a real Win10?

That's what I done shining. Bought a laptop and asked a friend to buy me a genuine copy of windows in the UK.
At the time Microsoft would not allow me to buy a copy online from within China. So I had to buy it on disk.
Wipe your drive, and maybe hit less porn sites on the VPN?

You can also set your browser to not re-direct traffic.

windows 10 has an option to re install windows 10 all over again but you lose all your other programs in the settings menu, not sure that would help you though, i have the same problem on the school computers here when they updated to from 7 to 10. i hate the hao123 bullshit and no matter what i do it keeps coming back. i can only get hide my ass to work in freegate, i just wish they had a decent adblock for webfreer, even though its a close clone to google chrome the ads are just ridiculous.
well now, unless im in a vpn, my windows and windows defender will not update at all anymore from a chinese ip address, any body else have this problem
