Q: If I overstayed my visa for 30 days am I blacklisted?
In February this year I obtained a visa in Hong King to stay in China until March. However, they
pinned another document into my passport which states I was valid to stay until June. I quizzed
my company about it when I returned and they agreed: my visa was ok until June. Leaving Pudong on
what I believed to be the day before the expiry date I was held up at customs to be told I had overstayed
my visa and would have to pay a fine of 10,000 RMB. I gave them the money on the spot, they gave me the
relevant documents and I boarded my plane. At no time was I actually held in custody. Am I blacklisted?

I think I have a theory as to why dumb visa questions always pop up whenever CFTU apologists make a come back.
Look at all the anonymous posts as well as those posted by the ones we already busted, they all have something in common: they all contain as many keywords as they possibly can, like "visa", Hong Kong, customs, police, blacklist, et cetera. And when they don't have keywords, they have links.
Different accounts are starting different threads on the same old topics we all know, and then goes the apologists.
And since I kind of guess that Google is smart can get a sense of the timelines, posters and links on given websites so as to determine the ranking on its search engine, then they have not to be too obvious. So sometimes, we get links from other forums that offer third hand links to their target site.
So my guess is, they're not after tricking us anymore, they just want good rankings on Google or Bing or whatever so that more people end up believing their crap. That explains a lot.

Yes, you will be executed, as you should be. All those who overstay, display Pollyanna attitudes (hello Hadleyj, NZnewteacher, NZboy and your ilk) will also face execution.
you are not if you could not be able to pay the money than you will be.
I overstayed my visa 45 days all I did was pay 5000rmb then go to HongKong to get a new visa.
Around 5 yrs ago I met a guy who overstayed for around 7 months, he was a total mess; by one reason or another he forgot about it and he got so bad luck that some events happened to him that finally he could overstay so long.
When he wanted to renew his visa he tried through an agency but at that time there was only one agency working with overstays and they said can do nothing.
When went to renew he's got a lawyer from the company he was working at and they negotiated a 5k RMB payment and he got a new visa for 10 days with the express indication can't renew that visa & must leave the country before visa expires. He left China and I never saw him again, don't know if he made it to return China. That was 5 yrs ago, I guess things are tighter now but I do think you wasted money paying that much. You could've negotiated better definitely.
