Q: It seems harboring illegals is expensive?

https://www.mercurynews.com/2018/04/22/walters-california-cities-school-...

The argument against keeping illegals has always been about economics. They push citizens out of jobs, raise the cost of living, don't pay taxes, increase the strain on public services like policing and education.

Peanuts. 1.2 trillion? The GFC wiped 12 trillion out thanks to unregulated finance. The same people are still in charge.

You aren't calling out bankers.

You just hate Mexicans.

The world economy is global. Borders only exist to protect your privilege and to deny rights to others.

Bloody hell Teddy boy ... you’re stretching it here to get a link between underfunding the the CalPERS pension scheme and “illegals”

I read the whole article & there’s NO link at all. Care to explain the link? You’re coming across as blinkered as ScotsAlan with this one. Have you been drinking?

I don't follow. is this arguing that low wage workers (immigrants) are necessary, so companies can cut costs, pay pensions and hospitals get affordable care staff?
Or are you saying that immigrants' children and crime are a burden on the police and education system?
I'm of the opinion that crime would always be present, even if the lower classes are white nationals. And seeing children as a burden, while pensioners are innocent and vulnerable. That's a double standard wouldn't you say?

I dont get the connection between the article and the question.

I thought the pension shortfall in western public service funds came down to very generous final salary schemes for baby boomers coupled with austerity policies reducing the number of present day contributers.

By definition, illegals are illegals. They get nowt.
