Hello
I have been walking past the national art museum of china quite alot of times since its right in the city center, and i have often been wondering if its worth a visit.
i am thinking it could be really cool if it had contemporary chinese art like in 798, but on the other hand it do looks a bit like a big official building probably not boding well for the exhibits on the inside.
Could anyone give me an idea what its like there?
yes ..... i hope its entrance ticket is not 100 yuan
The National Art Museum of China do from time to time have rather interesting exhibits, for example Chinese paintings by famous painters or calligraphy etc.
However the permanent exhibits are not all that interesting, unless you are very interested in revolutionary Chinese art glorifying the communist party.
Since it is the national museum of art it will often stage large exhibitions in connection with national days or party events. The museum is right now displaying an exhibition about the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist part.
