Trump just promised every senior citizen in America that they will have access to the Regeneron therapeutic Trump credits as a "cure" for his condition - and China, presumably, will pay for it.

The lights thing... I've been told people think they're saving gas and/ or wear and tear on the light bulbs. It might be true for some I suppose. Someone told me it flattens the battery once, she had no idea cars recharge the battery as they drive.

What I think it mostly is though is just drivers being oblivious to danger. The same people that wouldn't think to check their mirrors before changing lanes/ pulling out into traffic or looking left and right so they don't get smoked by a bus when they cross the road would never think about how they might be near invisible to other drivers.

3. Who would Chinese/PCC (Party of Chineez Commies) prefer as a new US Leader?

Here's What Chinese Citizens Saw The Moment Pence Spoke About China In Debate

Thu, 10/08/2020 - 15:05

This one is funny ...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/heres-what-chinese-citizens-saw-m...

Chinese national media aired Wednesday night's vice presidential debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Kamala Harris, however, Chinese censors cut off the feed at the moment US policy toward China was raised.

The debate feed was cut inside China apparently in order to prevent citizens from hearing Pence criticize the Chinese Communist government. While the rest of the world heard Pence explain how “China is to blame” for the coronavirus pandemic, this is what viewers inside China beheld on their screen through the duration of the comments:

It was first noted in a viral tweet by Canada’s Globe and Mail correspondent Nathan Vander Klippe based in Beijing.

He took a photo of his TV screen in Beijing at the moment China was raised by the moderator, noting "China censored Pence’s comments on China. Signal returned when Harris began talking again."

The text written in both Chinese and English asked viewers to stand by, perhaps misleadingly giving the impression there was a 'technical difficulty'.

“How would you describe our fundamental relationship with China? Are we competitors, adversaries, enemies?” debate moderator Susan Page had asked.

However it was clear the communist authorities wanted to censor Pence's comments such as the following:

“China and the World Health Organization did not play straight with the American people,” Pence added. “They did not let our personnel into China to get information on the coronavirus until the middle of February.”

Interestingly the feed did return in time for Harris to respond in a more China-friendly way with, “The Trump administration’s perspective and approach to China has resulted in the loss of American lives, American jobs, and America’s standing.”

Harris was accused in Conservative media of dodging the question, as she didn't explain further but pivoted to charging President Trump with having “a weird obsession” with undoing any of the “accomplishments” of the Obama administration.

The whole episode also makes clear Beijing's preference for who it would like to see in the White House. And if there does end up being a foreign policy debate between Trump and Biden, currently very much up in the air and in doubt, we don't expect China to air it at all.

Best Evidence Yet That Coronavirus Came From BSL-4 Lab

No, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is not a biological weapon. But that doesn't mean the virus didn't escape from a laboratory. A growing body of circumstantial evidence indicates that very well may be what happened.

When the novel coronavirus, now known as SARS-CoV-2, emerged from China, conspiracy theorists -- including a prominent cable news host -- were quick to point out that Wuhan is host to a "biological weapons" lab. Thus, according to the conspiracy, the virus was a leaked bioweapon.

There are two gigantic problems with that theory. First, there is no reason to believe that the Wuhan laboratory is in the business of producing biological weapons. The lab is a high-security facility, known as biosafety level 4 (BSL-4), similar to the ones we have at the CDC in Atlanta.

Second, the SARS-CoV-2 genome was sequenced by China and released to the public (and subsequently sequenced many more times). If China actually built a biological weapon, they would not have handed over the recipe so quickly and easily. Besides, a study published in Nature Medicine uses a genetic analysis to show convincingly that the virus evolved in an animal and jumped into humans.

But that doesn't mean the "jump" occurred in a wet market, as was assumed at the beginning of the pandemic. The reason that assumption was made was two-fold: (1) It's the simplest and most likely explanation; and (2) It happened before with SARS.

As the weeks and months have gone by, however, circumstantial evidence is piling up that the virus actually came from the Wuhan BSL-4 laboratory. Once again, it is not a biological weapon. Instead, it appears that Chinese scientists were studying a novel virus they found, and it accidentally infected a worker and "escaped" from the lab.

Evidence that SARS-CoV-2 Came from the Wuhan Lab

An excellent investigative report by Jim Geraghty for the center-right National Review extensively documents the evidence. The highlights of his report include:

  • *Job postings at the Wuhan facility for scientists to study coronaviruses and bats.

*An announcement that new viruses had been discovered.

*When she learned of the outbreak, a Chinese virologist known as "Bat Woman" (because of her hunt for viruses in bat caves) wondered if the virus came from her lab.

*The virology institute denied the existence of the person rumored to be "patient zero", a grad student named Huang Yanling. Information about her has been removed from the institute's website, and her whereabouts are unknown. The institute now claims she is in good health.

Now, CNN reports that China is censoring any research related to the origin of the virus. According to the article, an online announcement said that "[s]tudies on the origin of the virus will receive extra scrutiny and must be approved by central government officials."

That announcement, as it so happens, was later removed, providing the best evidence yet that China is once again covering something up.

Who took a spade?

https://news.yahoo.com/taking-page-authoritarians-trump-turns-151748832....

President Trump takes a step that even Nixon avoided

President Donald Trump’s order to his secretary of state to declassify thousands of Hillary Clinton’s emails, along with his insistence that his attorney general issue indictments against Barack Obama and Joe Biden, takes his presidency into new territory — until now, occupied by leaders with names like Putin, Xi and Erdogan.

Trump has long demanded — quite publicly, often on Twitter — that his most senior cabinet members use the power of their office to pursue political enemies. But his appeals this week, as he trailed badly in the polls and was desperate to turn the national conversation away from the coronavirus, were so blatant that one had to look to authoritarian nations to make comparisons.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
