that a good question well the websites are shutting down and the great firewall is stopping it as we.. but though dvds are there in the market. some time police do take those guy in surprise and fine them as well. its under the table business.

If you believe what the party tells you, congratulations, you're now Chinese.
Do you think the police/government don't know what a brothel looks like? If there are whores all throughout China I think a bit a porn can go under the radar
sex is a huge taboo in China, pornography is banned, but still many Chinese make video clips for sex scandal....
Pornography is indeed illegal in China, as illegal as prostitution, nudity, and many other things which we happen to see each day. It is supposed to be a sin of capitalism, and as such, outlawed.

Thanks for the answers. I don't get what's the point of banning pornography. I think people always find a way if they really want it.
But anyway, I brought my own porn when I came and no one stopped me.

Yes...they will hunt you down after tracking your IP after you have checked out a porn site. Then they will send you to a "rehabilitation" center for 5 years to harmonize your sick mind.
Brothels, KTV girls, bribes and corruption are just fine....but the moment you get the urge to surf for porn, be careful....they will get you.

It's supposed to be which means if you get caught using it, watching it etc., you can get fined, arrested, imprisoned and probably fired. Although it's very easy to watch it on the internet and there are people still selling it on the streets through dvd.
