Q: Social problems? Do these girls deserve pity?

Local article.   http://www.sohu.com/a/208201802_469989  Earlier the meat market  of prc was hot with the selling of 10G data of nude: photos from girls posing nude for loans. Most of them aren't using the loan for food and shelter but cosmetics, handbags, cosmetic surgery....etc. Quite a few are uni students.

The interest takes this form, for a rmb 8000 loan the daily repayment is rmb 330, to be all repaid within 30 days. And you only get rmb 6400 when they hand you the cash (ie 80%).

:-[I calculated the interest to be rmb 3500, ie a whooping  54.7% monthly rate, or 656% per annum!]

This loan model has mutated. For those who couldn't repay the loan sharks' in time, they would arrange work for them. KTVs......we all know what girls do there.

Do these girls deserve sympathy?

FOr wanting the loan in the first place? No, absolutely not. For being pushed into the sex industry, yes.

Possibly, but not for the reasons they'd be expecting.

They do not, but China is a cruel place where materialism and superficiality are kings, unrestrained by any set of morals that may exist in other countries.

These girls are victims of society, they need the latest bag because their friends have it, they need cosmetics because unrealistic standards of beauty mean that they will be called ugly every 10 seconds by every strangers they come across if they do not wear a heavy layer of makeup, and it's the same thing with surgery.

However, it would only take some personality and strength of will to live just fine by not following society's expectations, to stand for themselves and refuse to be products of the mentally diseased society that is modern China.

It doesn't take much for a Chinese woman to become independent, to give a big middle finger to society's norms and expectations. My wife is stronger than I in that regard, when some retard does something stupid or tries to shame any of us into what is considered to be 'the norm' (i.e. haha you don't have the latest LV bag!) and while I am very apathetic, she doesn't hesitate to shame people, insult them in public and tell them to f-off. That's my girl.

Did they have options, yes they did. Work part time or develop skills, no they chose not to. Where they cheated, no they were fully aware of the consequences.

A:Wow, you really found that nitpicky talking point that elevates the fossil fuel industry to the same level as the interests of humanity. Isn't it all just a "liberal" scam, if you don't look too closely at the absence of logic? "Yes, it must be. My masters are hinting that that's what I should believe!"

You've made it clear you are consciously ignoring the pollution and global warming. Since your handlers, the conservative establishment whose dismantling of the carbon credit system and environmental destruction you choose to ignore, have made it clear you should bark in this direction, you are eager to please!

Such an admirably domesticated, dependable, subservient human. I'm sure your handlers will throw you a bone while they bring home the bacon for themselves. You're so obedient, you deserve a doggie cookie! Who's a good boy? You are! Yes, you are. U-S-A! Woof woof woof! -- coineineagh
