Q: Social wealth is monopolized

In most cases, people who have attended good universities tend to earn more money than most others do.

Good universites tend to be very expensive for most people, so most go there have rich parents. Most young people who graduated from those universities end up being very successful.

Rich people's children ends up to be more successful than others in most case.

What do you think?

Probably, yes, if by successful you mean richer.

It doesn't mean they're any happier than the average dude living reasonably comfortably though.

Bill gates dropped out of college and stoled at a cheap price a "DOS" program designed by 2 engineers that did not know the potential of what they had", He is also a wimpy nerd with no common sense who ended up marrying his secretary because he never dated.

Sorry but this is not a role model for my kids or any others.

He also spent a 100 million to shut down an entire island, buy all the hotel rooms, rent all the helicoptors including the news station so nobody could see the nerd at his wedding.

Vicki you are correct about the universities, even in America, the Ivy League snobs only hire Ivy League snobs in positions of power, only recently after over 200 years did we get a Supreme Court justice not from an Ivy League school.

Its a peer pressure click or group and outsiders be damned.

But peer pressure monopolies exist in most of the Western countries, the idea that the poor and middle class can advance is merely a talking point and the numbers are manipulated but it really does not work unless you pursue government or medicine careers. A few break into the cartel of power, but not many. Snobs look out for snobs, works this way in every country but polite society does not want to talk about it.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
