Q: Is there good middle eastern food in Shenyang?

Hell yeah there is!  enlightened

Not really a question, I just went to a great middle eastern restaurant near the corner of south Nan Jing street and south Wuma road. Its across the street from the San Qi Li BBQ restaurant. Check it out if you're in Shenyang.

That is nice, can you please tell the name of the restaurant? Is it close to Walmart and Wanda plaza in Heping district? Thanks.

mattsm84:

No, its near the RT mart closer to He Ping square. It's a small place. But its really good.

I'm not sure about the name, but the sign says, in English, something like "Turkish Coffee, Arabic Food."

Really -- that's a surprise.  Apparently, it's a halal place not run by Iraqis but run by U*gh*rs, that little troublesome group from out west.  I was surprised to learn that it had metamorphosed into a middle eastern place.  The last time that I was there the staff was nearly 90% Uigh*rs, that is if we are talking about the same place near He Ping Square. These kind of restaurants often masquerade as Middle Eastern in China so as to fly below the radar, so to speak.

mattsm84:

We're not talking about the same place. I think you're thinking about the place near the woman's hospital. That place is okay, but its nothing special. But its still Chinese food. From the intersection in front of He Ping square, go towards the RT mart. The turn left at the RT and go straight for a little more than a block. Its on the left side of the street and it's across from the 3k Miles BBQ and the Joy done education school. Its easy to miss because its just this hole in the wall little place. The whole staff is just an iraqi guy and his wife. I highly recommend it.

Mattsm84, yes, I know the place to which you are referring.  I didn't find it overly clean nor overly dirty.  I prefer the one that I was talking about, actually. Thank you for the info in any case.

mattsm84:

If you've been to both, then you'll have to explain how you could have confused the, the first one is Arabic food (falafels, pita sandwiches, coffee that'll keep you up for days) as authentic as you can get as its made by a guy from that part of the world, the other one is a halal version of Chinese food, which is great if you really like lamb. Neither is really bad, but they aren't at all the same thing.

A:What is 'formal offer letter'? Only legally accepted employment offer I know is a Contract! ... so, you just don't accept and sign the contract with the lower salary! Email exchanges, verbal discussions and other promises between you and employer aren't legally binding, so legal action isn't recommended. Mainly legal effective thingy is employer's stamped and signed contract! ... and after you ink it, employer can/will use your signed contract to apply for all necessary documents at Chinese governmental agencies as Working permit and all ... It would be better for you to not accept an employment with such an employer, IMO 'cause you'll experience similar troubles by employer won't respect the contract later on. -- icnif77
