Q: There's a cure for the virus!

You can come out of lockdown everyone, there's a cure for the virus, and it's legit too.

This dude had a famous, great super genius uncle at MIT so he really understands medicine. In fact, all the doctors ask him 'how do you know so much about this?' The man is a (stable) genius.

I read report on Monday that ... Redemsevir by Gilead ... was effective ... in pre-trial.

It was classic 'pump&dump' scam observed mostly on US Pink sheets ... promotion of stock/product comes out ... and retail investors are pilling in, stock price goes into stratosphere ... and then not-so-good news follows and stock price returns to the pre-pump levels or even below that.

Gilead was up 20% in premarket at the Redemsevir-effective news with 25% drop before the market closed in pm. All US Futs were up on the news, too ...

Gilead isn't pink sheet stock Co..It's a blue-chip Pharma stock ... like AAPL or INTC are in Tech.

Bastards!

Here is an interesting read by P. Escobar about cee-aii-eei  and last virus ... outbreak in China ..., i.e. 'who knew what timeline ..':

This is fake news ... your weblink, he he.

It's all misconstructed, and Trump-a never said "... inject yourself with Lysol (bleach) to treat the virus ...".

... and on the other side, drinking water contains bleach everywhere around the world. It's added in controlled quantities as disinfectant and such water is good for splashing the can and washing. In some countries, drinking water is sold only bottled 'cause faucet water contains too much of a bleach as in China and USA among others.

OK, here is what went down. Commentary is not by me.

Make of it what you will.

During the press conference, Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS, talked about the effects of sunlight, heat, humidity, and certain disinfectants on the half-life of the coronavirus.

“We’ve tested bleach, we’ve tested isopropyl alcohol on the virus, specifically in saliva or in respiratory fluids, and I can tell you that bleach will kill the virus in five minutes,” Bryan said. “Isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds, and that’s with no manipulation, no rubbing. Just bring it on and leaving it go. You rub it and it goes away even faster.”

Immediately following these remarks, Trump said:

So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that – you’re going to have to use medical doctors with – but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.

A few moments later, ABC News reporter Jon Karl asked Bryan, “The president mentioned the idea of a cleaner, bleach and isopropyl alcohol emerging. There’s no scenario where that could be injected into a person, is there?”

“No, I’m here to talk about the finds that we had in the study,” Bryan responded. “We don’t do that within that lab at our labs.”

Trump then clarified his remarks: “It wouldn’t be through injections, you’re talking about almost a cleaning and sterilization of an area. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t work, but it certainly has a big affect if it’s on a stationary object.”

Lysol was never mentioned anywhere during the press conference and Trump never told anyone to inject themselves with anything.

for a leader of a country, like Trump, being 'sarcastic' undermines any credibility or confidence a people would have in their leaders at a time like this.

And the last thing a country needs is an unrealiable leader.

being a CEO is different from being a world leader, or a PM / President in a country.

inevitiably, from now on, more people will desregard / dismiss Trump, or have their opinions of his poor leadership justified.

The upshot of this will probably a weakening of the US on the international stage, as other world-leaders will see the US as flaky, and unlikely to stick to agreements.

(not that other world leaders have proven to be decisive or pro-active themselves, with the possible exception of the NZ PM)

Cure for the virus ...? It looks, everyone will have to get vaccinated ...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/scientists-find-more-evidence-nov...

Scientists are scrambling to find explanations for why the coronavirus outbreak in the Italian north was so much more pervasive and deadly than outbreaks in other parts of Europe, and even other parts of Italy. Some have proposed that Italy's elderly population might have something to do with it - though Japan's demographics are similar, and the outbreak in that country has been far less deadly.

Now, a team of researchers who have been studying air pollution levels in Italy's Bergamo Province have found more evidence that the virus can travel on air pollution particles, the Guardian reports, which might offer some insight into the issue.

Leonardo Setti at the University of Bologna in Italy, who led the work, said it was important to investigate if the virus could be carried more widely by air pollution.

"I am a scientist and I am worried when I don’t know,” he said. “If we know, we can find a solution. But if we don’t know, we can only suffer the consequences."

To be sure, while the scientists found evidence of viral genetic material on air particles, the research offers no insight on whether these particles can actually transmit the virus in a way that would allow it to infect other humans.

They found another possible cure, and this one is much more sensible than injecting toilet cleaner or putting UV light bulbs up your bum.

Goats and BREAST MILK protein may be key to fighting Covid-19, Russian scientists suggest

Goats and BREAST MILK protein may be key to fighting Covid-19, Russian scientists suggest

The coronavirus seems to be affecting babies less than other populations and Russian scientists suggest this may be due to proteins in breast milk that protects their immune system. Now they are trying a new drug based on it.

I can't find the thread where we spoke about 'intentions ... after the outbreak ', but I have interesting read ... from satellites:

Satellite Data, Internet Searches Suggest COVID-19 Hit China 'Long Before' Previously Known: Harvard

"The increase of both signals precede the documented start of the COVID-19 pandemic in December."

"What we're trying to do is look at the activity, how busy a hospital is," Brownstein added. "And the way we do that is by counting the cars that are at that hospital. Parking lots will get full as a hospital gets busy. So more cars in a hospital, the hospital's busier, likely because something's happening in the community, an infection is growing and people have to see a doctor. So you see the increases in the hospital business through the cars… We saw this across multiple institutions."

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
