Q: Venetians, you have spine and wisdom! When would others follow you?

https://rusreality.com/2017/06/21/venice-want-to-close-for-tourist-ships/

Basically they are saying, 'you are an eyesore, we do not want you in Venice, we would rather earn less and preserve our culture, peace and happiness'.

Who? http://theconversation.com/tourists-behaving-badly-how-culture-shapes-co...

Not just Venetians, 'overseas' Chinese like Hongkongers who have the misfortune of being 'reunited' with these psychos.

'Protests against tourist behaviour have erupted in Barcelona, Venice and Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, tourists are blamed for being noisy, inconsiderate, urinating in public, buying up necessities such as baby milk powder, and generally not following local customs. Chinese tourists, in particular, face harsh criticism in Hong Kong as well as in Thailand.'

Travel is going to have to be restricted somehow

earthizen:

Exactly, especially with the nasty current trend. Both traveling and immigration must be refined to filter out psychopaths and low lives, not just criminals and terrorists . I really don't understand what is so mysterious with all of this. Don't those polyanas, fanatical idealists lock the doors of their home when they go out? How old are they, three?  If these people are that stupid they deserve being robbed and looted.

Basically, the entire western civilization arises from the Roman Empire. The issues that come with assimilation are nothing new. Hell, the Romans had them thousands of years ago. It looks like it is time to learn a lesson or two from those folks who, had they been as stupid as some of the morons of today, many whites wouldn't even have a place to hang around which they can call their country!  http://www.nationalreview.com/article/436109/migrants-eu-roman-empire-assimilation-challenge

Hong Kong also makes public service announcements about covering your mouth when coughing or sneezing.

earthizen:

Guess who the target audience is? Next time you take HK subway see if you can find these signs, which do not exist before dalu tourists are allowed to visit HK?

I was in Hong Kong and I had a very heavy bag with me. I was told that I would have to use a lift to get to the next platform to transfer trains. There was a woman in a wheelchair and two people with crutches standing behind the line in an orderly queue. I stood behind them and patiently waited also. Next thing you know, a huge horde of screaming peasants all started to walk around the woman in the wheelchair and stood to her side and gradually started to shuffle so that they were ahead of her and the rest of us who were waiting in the queue.

To all those people who grew up with political correctness and the fetishization of different "cultures" all I can say is thanks for taking our fangs out. You've left us bereft of the means of surviving and preserving our civilization.

I wonder if the Romans felt the same emotions when the Ostrogoths came rampaging through the city gates?

Hotwater:

And you didn't say anything to them? I bloody would have a done! A loud "Deng Yi xia nei bian" while pointing behind me generally does the trick of "kan zhe li" while looking at the wheelchair.

Fly west and you find the same plague hits your neighbors. Time to ring Crocodile Dundee.... They make this cute video. Not so cute in real life as we all know.

A:Yes, you can get legal ET job by the Chinese Labor law.  Problem is, most Chinese managers and recruiters don't know, they can obtain Working permit for a non-native English teacher with BA completed in a native English country. I'd suggest, you mention possibility of legal employment for non-native English teacher with degree completed in a native English country at the first interview. It's a tough time in China at your example, IMO.  Most recruiters and hiring managers in China know only "ET must hold a native English passport ..", so your job application get dismissed right there. The other thing is, never stop sending your CV to the job offers doesn't matter if no replies. At my time in China (pre-2017), I'd send CVs to every offer posted daily.I've even disregarded advert's requirement 'native English passport holder', and ... I got a reply or two in a month time. Take the last paragraph as a rule! Good luck!   -- icnif77
