I like bookworm because it doubles up as cafe and bookshop. There's nothing better than sipping on a good cuppa joe while being engrossed in a good book. They also serve some tasty snacks for when the munchies kick in, like salads and sandwiches.

I also really like the Green Room because of concept behind it. Everything is Fair Trade or organic, making this probably the only cafe in Suzhou to promote environmentally friendly consumption, as far as I know. The venue also puts on events like film screenings during the week which makes this a social and conscious-free spot to enjoy a drink.
Address: 49 Pinjiang Road.

A: What are you going to do, if I tell you answer is: 'forever' or 'never
A:What are you going to do, if I tell you answer is: 'forever' or 'never'? Chinese recruiters don't have the same habits as the western recruiters have ... Never stop sending your CV to the job offers, not even when you have an invitation or two for an interview! Don't expect Chinese will send you "Thank you for your application. You weren't selected at this time ...!" notice, so keep sending yer CV to the newly posted job openings. Looking for a job in China was like a part-time job in my time in China ... Good luck! -- icnif77
