Q: what you you make your employees do?

http://www.chinasmack.com/2013/pictures/chinese-company-employees-crawl-in-public-training-exercise.html

The employees are crawling.

the more i see of this country the more it disgusts me . to think i was a fan of the commies, the party that stands up for workers rights. at the sight of this, every chinese should .... there are 2 govts claiming authority over china. 1 gov does this to their people (don't forget the shaved head thing).  the other govt, this would be illegal (real workers rights)

i'm sorry admin, seeing people forced to do this shat pisses me off. just to entertain some wealthy puck. make some rich 3 incher feel big

But the mindset of the people is that they will actually do this stuff. Hardly a whimper. I think that's more the problem than the idiot holding the boss cards.

When that changes the country changes.

Sadly ironic, crawling around a Liberation Monument at the behest of your employer.

I treat my employees as well as I can. I treat the Chinese staff exactly as I do the westerners. I get flack from my HQ for this, and I get taken advantage of by the locals for my perceived "weakness". In return, I get threats and micromanaged by the (Chinese) HQ and the students keep demanding more (they think their school is akin to a restaurant and they can 'order up' whatever they want). Remember the Thomas Jefferson thought that Native Americans and African-Americans were like children that needed a 'guiding hand'? Chinese employers are no different. The same sense of entitlement that brings recent graduates here seeking a high salary, low hours, long vacations and spoon-feeding are already taking root in local employees. The days where employees are willing to 'pay their dues' and work their way up the ladder are gone. Young pups need to be humbled but certainly not by degradation or appeasement.

I am too soft with my employees. I don't even rob them of their weekend after national holidays like the Chinese do.

What you you make your employees do? What kind of English is that?  If it is a typo I would think it prudent to check what you write before, posting it. Franck3

I read this China Smack article last week and all I could think was..."Brutally offensive".

The fact that the employees do it is almost worse.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
