Q: Why do chinese game shows offer contestants so little?

Why do Chinese game shows offer so little to the contestants? I think they only offer a couple thousand dollars the most.

Compared to in America where you can be a multi-millionaire if you competed on some shows. One show in particular "Jeopardy" which usually airs before "Wheel of Fortune"

We will see if you are really an American or not. I definitely know that Hugapanda is not an American. She thought all you could win was 2 to 4 grand on a game show in America. So yeah she's definitely not American. I already covered that and yes "multi-millionaire" is possible if you play in America. Ever heard of "Mr. Jeopardy" he had a string of wins and raked in millions of dollars. He also went by the name of "Jennings" and he's an engineer.

Don't worry.  Your government has come to your rescue yet again.  Most game (and other types of non-moral type) shows have been deemed "overly entertaining" and will be banned from TV so that you will not have to concern your thoughts with such trivial matters.

You can go back to practicing red kerchief knots.

Don't you know? It's because China is still a developing country.

Maybe because hugapanda is not 90 years old and doesn't watch game shows.

Oh, you see, in anglophone countries it is typical for old people to watch lots of game shows. I learned everything I know about game shows from my great grandfather, who was born in a barn, and died of a heart attack out on a tractor at the age of 101.

you once again prove yourself to be chinese and have never watched wheel of fortune or jeopardy. tell your govt to try again. no native speaker uses pin point correct english on internet forums. because this is not a term paper or academic article.
the only show you mentioned that makes millionaires is none. the show that offered the most the, was millionaire show and winning one million does not make you a millionaire. (taxes will cut that in half) if you were american you would know that.  hug a panda is american you clearly are not. you are a govt drone. and by the way, many believe that jennings guy was a fix, because jeopardy always had a limit set (5 max wins) the whole jennings thing happened when jeopardy's ratings were tanking. you see, i lived through it i didnt need to look it up on wiki

ohh you busted me! I was born in NY, and raised by my American mom and US military father, but because I forgot Ken Jennings.. they've taken away my citizenship and are deporting me to China for 6 months. My career as an English/Communications... I'll call it teacher to make you feel better... is over.

I do hope you understand sarcasm. Most Americans do.

A:Going to HK would be the best bet I reckon, especially if you were looking for a church wedding. Chinese weddings are pretty grim IMO - you go to a barren govt dept with souless officials and navigate red tape so some guy can give you a red stamp and a marriage book. You get expensive pictures taken of you both posing in places you'd never go to in everyday life that is somehow supposed to represent your wedding, then a while later it's off to a restaurant where a game show host kind of guy makes sure it's as tacky as possible while the guests eat as fast as they can so they can leave as soon as they finish eating and gave you money. Hell, I'd go to Thailand or the Philippines and get married in Paradise.   -- Stiggs
