No, I don't think it would hurt. It will really depend on the club that you go to, and what you have in mind. Some clubs, the music is low enough to do some talking and to share a table. Other clubs are very loud, and the music is the main thing, so, it depends on why you are going. If it is to get to know each other, pick the former type club. If you just want to "shake it," and see how she moves, go to the latter.

First dates are traditionally about discovery. Getting to know the other person, and seeing if you want to have a second date. It will depend a lot on what she is likes, and what she does like. So, go. Have fun. If she doesn't like it (being too loud, etc.), you can always go somewhere else. But be attentive to how much fun she is having. Remember, it's about her. Please her, and you will be pleased.

First date, go to someplace quiet, get to now each other. A night club might be too noisy to talk. Yelling over music all night is no fun. A nice quiet romantic dinner in a dimly lit restaurant would be better, a quiet restaurant, where there are no Chinese yelling or a quiet bar, maybe one with light live music. You'll have entertainment and breaks to talk.

If this is your kind of lifestyle then it's a good idea.

Many Chinese girls don't like the idea of bars because they think its for bad people.

If the girl is comfortable and up for it then it shows there won't be conflicts of interest in the future.

The only problem I can see is the guys who work at the bar. You know the ones who are basically just paid to walk around all night and drink with customers. If your girl is hot in Chinese guy standards you may find one of these guys standing at your table all night and probably dribbling Chinese with her for ages. C*ck block.

Just be yourself, eh? But if you speak anyway like you write posts (Hey!!!!! Fancy a dessert!!!!! This restaurant has a lovely ambience!!!!!!!) you might wanna tone it down, just a bit. Second thoughts scratch that, what do I know? Be yourself mate. If it's right it's right, if not it's not. Hundred years from now we'll all be dead. Have a laugh and I hope it works out for you.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
