Q: Will ras-Putin Ever Troll China Like He Trolls USA and Europe?

I have a new source:

New Zealand donates body armour and helmets to Ukraine, $5 million to NATO, breaking from traditional aid funding.

'I can't imagine we will agree': Putin's shocking request to 'unfriendly' countries

Russia will seek payment in roubles for gas sold to "unfriendly" countries, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday, and European gas prices soared on concerns the move would exacerbate the region's energy crunch.

European nations and the United States have imposed heavy sanctions on Russia since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24. But Europe depends heavily on Russian gas for heating and power generation, and the European Union is split on whether to sanction Russia's energy sector.

Putin's message was clear: If you want our gas, buy our currency. It remained unclear whether Russia has the power to unilaterally change existing contracts agreed upon in euros.

there has always been wars with genocide and false/fake reasons/excuses to wage war. I suppose this gives Putin the right to invade a country today based on what has been done in the past. Your statements show that you support the invasion and believe countries should be ruled by autocrates/dictators and those who don't submit are controlled by the USA. I noticed that America did not make Japan, Germany, France, nor many other parts of Europe subject to oppression after WW2 in the way Russia did to the European countries it occuppied Poland, Hungary, Ukraine etc. Stalin just installed his people while the countries that were liberated by American/British/Allied forces were allowed to elect there own governments despite having been enemies of the US during most of the 19th century.

icnif77:

I don't support Uki's invasion or any war for that matter whatsoever, i.e. people are dying and property has being destroyed, millions of refugees and all. No sane person would or can support such a thing!

I defend Putin 'cause of his past and present counter actions toward the western alliance countries, USA as the leader of ZATO in particular!

1st. He granted an asylum to 'Up -Yours' in 2013 shortly after his landing in HK. 'Up - Yours' is a code, nick-name for the NSA files snatcher, he he. However, there is a hidden thingy in all that affair, about which you won't read at MSM often.

"NSA (.gov) violated the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, i.e. the highest Law of the Land by illegally collecting data in bulk on every USA citizen", mind you!, i.e. meta data collection ... This NSA action is no different than as one branch of .gov would steal, rob and cheat on the grandiose scale .. and then a bit higher, different .gov branch would refuse to look for and persecute the perpetrators of the crimes toward the unaware public.

"Up-Yours" exposed that unlawful habit of the secret, hush-hush NSA and he ended-up in a asylum, i.e. "Up-Yours" is a hero by all standard parameters.;

2nd. There were the same or even much worse atrocities committed by ZATO in recent history, i.e. killings, bombings, refugees and all in many countries around the world (with BS excuses as "Bringing-Democracy-to-Middle-East", Iraq-twice, Syria, Libya and more ...) much earlier than the present Ruski reaction in Uki.

None of you felt such a remorse for more than 12k Iraqi mostly civilian casualties in the 1st Gulf war as you feel now for Uki, have you? Why's that?

... 'cause ZATO was looking for "Saddam's weapons of mass destruction" pretentious LIE!

.. same as today, you're stuffed with Russia-Bad and Poor-Uki memes despite neo-nazism runs wild in Uki among other BS Uki is full off ...;

3rd. Western political scholars and analysts warned about ZATO's expansion toward Russian borders since 1990, but despite all warnings ZATO got into some 13 East EU countries after the dissolution of USSR in 1992, some of them right on the Russian borders (as Uki and Georgia) and ras-Putin was warning and politely asking ZATO to stop much earlier ...

These are a few reasons, I read all western reports about Russians overtaking Uki as cool-aid-ing or "It Ain't So True!"

West/ZATO started the fire and now the same West is trying to put out the inferno by blaming and sanctioning Ruskies and accusing for all 'irrationalities' ras-Putin ... and I listen "It Ain't Necessarily So", older tune by Bronski Beat ..

Russia and Uki are the largest producers and exporters of grain for one thing ... Watch the famine with mass revolts unfolds around the globe ... Why? ...'cause ZATO has to become larger and more influential BS!

Ask yourself one Q: "Why mama-China stands firmly by ras-Putin's side?"

China has never, ever supported or committed violent take-overs of other countries.

Putin's Ruski humour is also something else ... His country got sanctioned into oblivion and he replies:

" ... I can't imagine we will agree ..."     after he imposed payments for Russian oil & nat. gas in rubles, only! ...   .

Putin might be also alluding to the late Saddam and USA's 1st invasion of Iraq in 2003, which started shortly after Saddam required payments for Iraqi oil in domestic currency (Dinar), not in US$ anymore ... and he ended-up dead-ed, despite no mass destruction of anything has ever been found.

It's a 'Good morning' in EU!

P.S.

Have a look at Oliver Stone's flick "Ukraine on Fire", where many reasons (with Nuland's "Fcuk EU!" rant ..     )...for the present Russian reaction in Uki are nicely exposed. In short, USA is behind Uki's no-more-Russia revolt and following troubles.

Also have a web search for the NGO "National Endowment for Democracy", CIA's front and its deeds around the globe, especially in Uki and Georgia ...

It is easier to let others do your thinking and regurgitate nice sound-bites that the plebs can digest so they can contcentrate their time on Netflix, selfies, virtue-signalling and social media.

I suggest you look at the ongoing conflict in Yemen and Syria and see who is profiting from this.
already hundreds of thousands of people have been killed there, but i have not witnessed such blind virtue-signalling for these countries that I have witnessed for Ukraine.

Bulgaria will pay for Russian gas in rubles, ‘whether they like it or not’ – Kremlin

Russia addressed the concerns of European countries on Thursday about the plan to switch settlements for gas delivery from euros to rubles.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Moscow’s decision would create many problems. He explained that Bulgaria, the country through which gas supplies to Serbia and Hungary is delivered, has declared its unwillingness to switch to rubles in gas payments.

In response, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that the issue is closed, and Bulgaria will have to pay in rubles “whether they like it or not.”

“This does not apply to Serbia. The problem remains to be solved and, naturally, Serbia’s concerns will be our top priority,” Peskov said.

“It’s absolutely normal, [Vucic] is right, this can really be a problematic situation, because in this case, Bulgaria took hostile steps against us, so they will have to pay in rubles, whether they want to or not, whether they like it or not,” Peskov stated.

Earlier this week, the former deputy energy minister of Bulgaria, Yavor Kuyumdzhiyev, said the country greatly depends on Russian gas and lacks alternatives.

In the first major response to Western sanctions, President Vladimir Putin announced on Wednesday that Russia will now accept payment for gas exports to “unfriendly countries” in rubles only. broken heart

No, no, it's all ras-Putin's fault ... broken heart

https://www.rt.com/russia/552600-diplomats-predicted-escalation-ukraine/

Experts warned for decades that NATO expansion would lead to war: Why did nobody listen to them?

Analysts and diplomats have been saying since the 1990s that NATO expansion would eventually spark a conflict in Eastern Europe

Russia’s military offensive in Ukraine has been underway for a month now. It has already led to a global economic crisis stemming from disruptions in supply chains and rising energy prices. And although the beginning of the hostilities came as a surprise to the whole world, the current state of affairs was not unpredictable – international relations experts have been warning about the risk of this escalation for the past 30 years.

Why didn’t politicians in the West listen to their advice, instead of allowing war to break out in Europe, and fuel and food prices to skyrocket at home? RT explains.

 Told you so

“I want to make it clear to everyone, both in our country and abroad, to our partners, that it’s not even about the line that we don’t want anyone to cross. The fact is that we have nowhere to retreat. They have pinned us against a line from which, sorry for the bad manners, we have nowhere to retreat,” President Vladimir Putin stated at the end of December 2021, almost two months before he ordered the assault on Ukraine.

At the time, Moscow was trying to come to an agreement with NATO on mutual security, hoping that the US-led bloc would agree to provide comprehensive written guarantees that it would not expand any further, to the east. Not only Putin, but also other Russian officials, talked about ‘red lines’ that posed a serious threat, with ominous consequences for the world, if crossed.

The existence of these red lines – most notably against NATO expansion into Ukraine – is not some subjective concept born in the minds of Russia’s current leadership. Oddly enough, they were being discussed in the West long before they became the subject of conversation in the Kremlin.

In 1998, George Kennan, an American diplomat and historian known as the ‘architect of the Cold War’, said NATO expansion would mean nothing less than “the beginning of a new Cold War,” warning that it would be a “tragic mistake.”

NATO bombing of Serbia: Tragedy in three acts

Excerpt: ... In short, by dropping bombs on Serbia, the Spanish Air Force was initiating an illegal war of aggression. “To initiate a war of aggression,” the judges who comprised the International Military Tribunal convened in Nuremburg to judge the crimes of Nazi Germany, declared, “is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulative evil of the whole.”

Spain wasn’t alone that night – aircraft from the air forces of the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, and other NATO members participated in this “supreme international crime.” Viewed individually, there is no doubt that each nation involved in the attack on Serbia violated the UN Charter and, as such, is guilty of the crime of initiating an illegal war of aggression.

It is a travesty of international justice that the 1999 bombing remains unrecognized by the perpetrators and unpunished

Tell that to Kurtz, the man who, together with his fellow CIA operatives acting under the authority given them by the president of the United States, Bill Clinton, worked to create conditions on the ground inside Kosovo that could then be used to manufacture the very narrative of a humanitarian crisis sufficient in scope and scale to allow NATO to craft its novel legal justification for attacking Serbia.

The problem for NATO is that its legal justification was built on a foundation of lies. The fiction that NATO is an organization not entirely dominated by the United States evaporates the moment one understands the role played by the CIA in preparing the script used by NATO to justify its actions. The fact that this script promulgated outright fabrications of alleged crimes perpetrated by Serbia to justify NATO military intervention only underscores the criminal nature of the entire NATO enterprise.

There is no escaping the fact that when the first bomb dropped by the Spanish Air Force on Serbia that evening 23 years ago to this date impacted on the ground, Spain and every other member of NATO had committed the “ultimate crime."

That this crime remains unpunished is a travesty of international justice. That this crime remains unrecognized by those who perpetrated it is a testament to the hypocrisy of nations. That this crime set in motion the events that have led to the current state of affairs between the US and NATO on the one hand, and Russia on the other, is a global tragedy.

West will 'pay a price' for Russia clampdown – ex-army chief

The West’s populations must be ready for years of “hardship,” a UK general has said

Western nations should prepare their peoples for a long-term drop in living standards if their standoff with Russia continues, the Britain’s former Assistant Chief of Defence Staff, Jonathan Shaw, has said.

“We in the West have the wrong mentality” about the conflict in Ukraine, he said. Once one of the British Army’s most senior officers, Shaw was speaking on talk radio station LBC on Saturday.

“We are obsessed with humanitarian concerns and individual suffering, and that makes good TV, but the reality is this is far more serious than that,” the Major-General, whose 30-year career spanned the Falklands and Kosovo to commanding the UK forces in Iraq in 2006, warned.

The West has imposed draconian sanctions on Russia after it attacked Ukraine a month ago. This includes the US and Canada giving up their need for supplies of Russian hydrocarbon fuels, and the EU and UK announcing plans to join them in the near future.

The restrictions and retaliatory steps by Moscow have already seen energy and food prices spiking in many Western nations. There were reports of British food-bank users refusing free potatoes because they couldn’t afford to boil them. But Shaw predicted that this is only the beginning.

“We’ve now decided that as far as Russia’s concerned we’re going to play geopolitics ahead of economics and we’ve to pay a price for that,” he explained.

And, according to the Major-General, governments in the UK and elsewhere aren’t doing enough to ready their citizenry “for that sort of hardship and that attitude.”

“We need to be psychologically preparing our people for a long-term degradation of standard of living and a long-term confrontation with Russia,” he argued.

“Our quality of life back home absolutely depends on them – cheap fuel, cheap access, doing deals with Saudi Arabia, and things like that,” Shaw pointed out.

Russia sent troops to Ukraine in late February following a seven-year standoff over Kiev’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, and Russia’s eventual recognition of the breakaway Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered Minsk Protocol was designed to regularize the status of the regions within the Ukrainian state.

READ MORE: Germans told to drink tap water as prices surge

Russia has demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join NATO. Another goal of the military operation is to “denazify” the country, according to Moscow. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it had been planning to retake the two republics by force.

Stiggs:

"You wouldn't believe ( ... 'cause you're gobbling cool-aid out of MSM!), but ..."

1. Nobody has ever said there would be no consequences to imposing sanctions. This has always been understood and widely discussed and the governments involved deemed it acceptable and chose to go ahead with it. This is not a case of Putin 'outsmarting anyone by making them put sanctions on him'. This has been explained to you before.

2. You keep going on about how everyone but you is 'drinking the cool aid' and honestly, it's just a ridiculous buzz word with no real meaning. Do you actually stop to think about what you're saying when you regurgitate that? You have been getting fed your opinions from Zero Hedge and RT times and cutting / pasting here as if they are some sort of definitive answer to everything.

"RT has regularly been described as a major propaganda outlet for the Russian government and its foreign policy.[2] Academics, fact-checkers, and news reporters (including some current and former RT reporters) have identified RT as a purveyor of disinformation[59] and conspiracy theories.[65] UK media regulator Ofcom has repeatedly found RT to have breached its rules on impartiality, including multiple instances in which RT broadcast "materially misleading" content.[72]"

Just for your info, I am able to spot cool-aid just by reading some news. I've never look around the web for web portal ratings 'cause all ratings and opinions can be/are biased what just depends to whom the Rating agency belongs. I also look at the average no. of hits/reads portal or specific post receives. You're taking portal ratings as a pure gold, aren't you?

Good, calm sharpshooter never let emotions judge ...

1. This title was c&p from RT, which is Ruski manipulating portal and what not ...

"West will 'pay a price' for Russia clampdown – ex-army chief"

It's an assessment of non-Russian, so it gives some weight doesn't matter which outlet publish it. I fail to find Russian propaganda 'cause it's a reprint of UK army chief assessment.

2. I thought, opinion and 6-y old predicament about crisis in Uki of US political analyst and scholar John Mearshaimer would open-yer-eyes, but unfortunately ...

MSM cool-aid:

Few US and other (ZeroHedge + RT, he he) outlets published yesterday report about emails exchange between Biden's son and Uki's health gov. officials, which prove bio-labs in Uki were established and funded by the top officials from present USA .gov, V. Nuland as one ... and papa-Biden came out with 'how ras-Putin is bad ...' and ' .. how we're nearing to Russian attack in Uki with bio weapons ...', reported widely by MSM (Yahoo News, Fox. ), however the same MSM missed to report proofs of how present USA .gov participated in openings of 33 or so bio-labs in Uki.

NYT, DC Daily and few other US portals reported yesterday stunning accusation, but MSM stayed with 'False Russian accusations ...' thingy.

We just differ at internet info value ... and you can enjoy yer-cool-aid, whatever I am concern. However, I will always repost different opinions about the same matter.

Here's one:

https://drwong.substack.com/p/biolabs-in-ukraine?s=r

The World Health Organization advised Ukraine to destroy 'high-threat pathogens' in the country's public health laboratories in order to prevent "any potential spills" that might infect the population during the Russian invasion, Reuters reports

WHO try to postpone clash-of-civilizations at which we are near ..., i.e. clock shows "2' to 12" ...

How is this Russian propaganda??

Update(1410ET): President Biden during his important address on Ukraine from Warsaw, Poland just issued his strongest words thus far since the start of the conflict aimed directly at Putin:

"For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power," Biden said at the end of the speech.

It's a report of Biden yesterday's visit to Warsaw. It tells me, USA is clearly on the war with Ruski footing ...

I don't care, who report it or what Wikimedia has on the outlet. Zerohedge is a financial publication with over 500k daily hits ...

I hope, you are not referring to this part as " ... consequences of imposing sanctions were expected. This has been explained to you before.":

"Putin is indirectly forcing us to bypass our own sanctions,” Südekum told the publication. Another expert, Klaus-Jürgen Gern of the Institute for World Economics in Kiel, added that, due to the importance of Russian gas to EU nations (40% of the bloc’s gas needs are covered by Russian imports), the proposed measure “will exert massive pressure on the Western world and effectively make their sanctions absurd.”.

I am looking for more of "... this has been explained to you before."

Lem'me expand and offer you some fun with this dr. Ron Paul's, GOP congressman opinion (which I have to say, I agree 100%) ...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/manufactured-world-crisis

Few people today ask the most important question about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Many people want America to stay out of the fight, but even they don’t ask the vital question. Why does the world face a crisis today? Why has a border dispute between Russia and Ukraine escalated to the point where people fear nuclear war?

The answer is simple. America, under the “leadership” of brain-dead Biden and the forces controlling him, has done this and, by doing so, brought the world to the brink of disaster. As always, the great Dr. Ron Paul gets it right: “Three weeks into this terrible war, the US is not pursuing talks with Russia." As Antiwar.com recently reported, instead of supporting negotiations between Ukraine and Russia that could lead to a ceasefire and an end to the bloodshed, the US government is actually escalating the situation which can only increase the bloodshed. The constant flow of US and allied weapons into Ukraine and talk of supporting an extended insurgency does not seem designed to give Ukraine a victory on the battlefield but rather to hand Russia what Secretary of State Blinken called ‘a strategic defeat.’

It sounds an awful lot like the Biden Administration intends to fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian. The only solution for the US is to get out. Let the Russians and Ukrainians reach an agreement. That means no NATO for Ukraine and no US missiles on Russia’s borders? So what! End the war then end NATO.”

Let’s look at an analogy that will help us understand Dr. Paul’s point.

For years, the Ukrainian government has attacked an area in the Donbas region that has seceded from Ukraine and formed an independent, pro-Russian, republic. Just before Putin moved against Ukraine, Ukraianians increased the scale and scope of their attack. Rick Rozoff describes what they did: “Two-thirds of Ukrainian army servicemen have been amassed along the Donbas contact line, Eduard Basurin, spokesman for the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) militia, said on Thursday.

“Another three brigades are on their way [to Donbas], which is 20,000 to 25,000 troops more. The total number will reach 150,000, not to mention the nationalists. This is about two-thirds of Ukrainian Armed Forces’ personnel,” Basurin said on the Rossiya 1 television channel (VGTRK) on Thursday.

Unlike what has just happened, the Ukrainian attack did not result in US sanctions on Ukraine. There were no meetings of the UN to condemn Ukrainian aggression. There was no talk of world war. On the contrary, Ukraine government used American weapons in its attack and asked America for more weapons to continue their attack. Let’s listen to Rick Rozoff again: “The Armed Forces of Ukraine used the American anti-tank missile system Javelin in the hostilities in Donbas. This was announced by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov in an interview…

... and to boot all above, remembering some 5-years old USA pitch to supply oil and natural gas to EU, which as I remember was unsuccessful simply 'cause it was more expensive than near-by EU Russian's supply. They've even built Nordstream, but that large EU gas&oil infrastructure investment got suddenly abandoned right after the completion 'cause Ruski army entered Uki, and now EU has to bite a bullet and import more expensive gas&oil from USA .... you see where I am going with this?

Maybe once you'd look at the larger picture, you'd also recognise MSM cool-aid-ing ... easier.

You might also maneuver more of your explanations as soon as you'll abandon yer profession to which you have been born into and accept challenge to teach any other language you've might learned like I had with English, haa - LOL - haa ...

Let me curb you a tad further:

"Never, ever flatter yourself, you as a native English speaker/teacher can be a match to a non-native English teacher as me!", which I've outlined on this Board several times already.

Krout analysts explain Economy of 'Vla-di-mi-ro-Witch' ras-Putin in Rubles ....

Gas payments in rubles would backfire on EU sanctions – media

The bloc will have to buy rubles from Russia’s central bank

The switch to rubles for gas payments, announced earlier this week by Russian President Vladimir Putin, would force the European Union to circumvent its own anti-Russia sanctions if it wants to keep the gas flowing in, Germany’s Der Spiegel reported, citing economy experts.

According to Düsseldorf economist Jens Südekum, in order to pay for gas deliveries, Europe would have to buy rubles from the Central Bank of Russia, which earlier this month was placed on an EU sanctions list. The measure prohibits any financial transactions between the Russian financial regulator and EU.

“Putin is indirectly forcing us to bypass our own sanctions,” Südekum told the publication. Another expert, Klaus-Jürgen Gern of the Institute for World Economics in Kiel, added that, due to the importance of Russian gas to EU nations (40% of the bloc’s gas needs are covered by Russian imports), the proposed measure “will exert massive pressure on the Western world and effectively make their sanctions absurd.

Furthermore, if the change comes to pass, it will result in the rapid strengthening of Russia’s national currency, the ruble, currencies expert Peter Bofinger told the publication.

If Western gas consumers are now forced to buy rubles for dollars or euros, the demand for the Russian currency and hence its exchange rate will rise,” he explained.

Although the mechanism of switching to rubles for gas payments is still in the works, the announcement of the change alone has left Russia’s importers seriously puzzled, and dragged the ruble to a three-week high earlier this week. After all, under the worst-case scenario, Russia could turn off the taps on its gas pipes and, with no way to find an alternative source of the commodity fast-enough, that is precisely what is generally feared.

Russia's Putin and Germany's Scholz talk gas for rubles

Vladimir Putin assured his German counterpart that gas contracts wouldn’t be affected by the switch to Russian currency

Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke by phone on Wednesday to discuss Moscow's demand that Berlin pay for Russian gas with rubles, rather than in euros or dollars.

According to the German version of events, Putin agreed that payments would continue for the moment in either of the two Western currencies, with the Kremlin stating that these payments would then be converted into the Russian currency.

Though the Group of Seven major Western economies have collectively agreed to reject Moscow’s demand for payment in rubles, Putin has fielded calls from individual leaders whose countries are still dependent on Russian energy. As well as speaking to Scholz, Putin talked to Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi on Wednesday and French President Emmanuel Macron the day before.

https://dcweekly.org/2022/03/10/breaking-exclusive-hunter-biden-firm-ros...

Hunter Biden’s firm Rosemont Seneca provided capital for the firms behind the creation of Biolabs in Ukraine.

We heard on Tuesday from the US State Department that there were US Biolabs in Ukraine. Then on Wednesday the Biden regime backtracked and insisted there were no US-funded Biolabs in Ukraine.

Why the sudden confusing messaging from the Biden gang?  Especially when there are documents that prove the US was funding several of the Biolabs they set up in Ukraine to study potentially dangerous pathogens.

It may be because Hunter Biden’s firm Rosemont Seneca was funding the firms involved in the building of these labs in Ukraine and they felt this was not something they wanted the American people to know.

InfoWars put together an excellent article with connections between Hunter Biden and the firm Metabiota, which was involved in the creation of Biolabs in Ukraine.

The Gateway Pundit identified through the Wayback Machine that Rosemont Seneca provided capital (invested in) Metabiota as noted on the firm’s website back in 2014.

It is listed as “Our Team’s Investments” on the Rosemont Senaca webpage.

We also located a number of documents from the Wayback Machine (meaning they have been since deleted off the Internet) that show the Department of Defense investing in the creation of Biolabs in Ukraine with the help of firm Black & Veatch.

Today, Metabiota, the pioneer in epidemic risk modeling, announced it has been awarded a subcontract from Black & Veatch (B&V) to support the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP) in Iraq under the Biological Threat Reduction Integrating Contract (BTRIC). Metabiota has also partnered with B&V on DTRA’s recently awarded Cooperative Threat Reduction Integrating Contract (CTRIC) III with an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract ceiling of $970M.

The US State Department admitted to having Biolabs in Ukraine on Tuesday in front of the US Senate.  Then yesterday the Biden White House claimed these Biolabs in Ukraine were not biological weapons labs.

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2022-03-26/links-between-hunter-biden-and...

From the "Ghost of Kiev" to claims that Russia is intending to stage a false nuclear attack, the extreme propaganda spread since the invasion of Ukraine has made any claim worth taking with a gain of salt. Given that, Russia's claims that the United States had been operating biolabs in Ukraine were met with skepticism as well. However, shortly after these concerns were raised US Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland confirmed the existence of as many as 26 of these types of labs. Now, investigations by the Daily Mail and New York Post have gone even further by substantiating the Russian Federations subsequent claims that Hunter Biden played a key role in securing funding for those biolabs in Ukraine.

An examination of emails found on the laptop of Hunter Biden's that mainstream media sources obfuscated the existence of confirms that the president's son's secured funding for government contractors conducting research at Ukrainian biolabs. Those emails describe how Hunter Biden used his standing as a board member at Burisma to introduce a San Fransisco based pathogen research company named Metabiota to his connections at the Ukrainian gas company. A memo written by Metabiota Vice President Mary Guttieri in 2014 highlighted its assertions that the biologics company could be a vital research to "assert Ukraine's Cultural and economic independence from Russia."

Shortly following the memo, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi contacted Hunter Biden regarding his association with the company to explore its potential operations in Ukraine. Metabiota secured $500,000 from Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners, an investment company Russian officials claim has $2.4 billion in capital that was founded by Hunter Biden in 2009.

The connections between Hunter Biden and the Ukrainian biolabs confirmed by US officials were initially claimed by Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Department of the Russian Armed Forces. Kirillov's assessment of the scope of US-funded biolabs operating in Ukraine found that the Pentagon backed 31 such facilities. Kirillov went on to detail the connections between Biden, Rosemont Seneca, and contracts given to Metabiota to conduct research at the laboratories. Pentagon officials have stated that they have invested over $200 million in Ukraine since 2005 as part of its Biological Threat Reduction Program. The narrative that these biolabs were operating for defensive purposed was echoed by Nuland in her testimony before a US Senate committee hearing held following Russia's invasion of Ukraine when the existence of the biolabs was first brought to the attention of the public.

West must avoid ‘pushing’ Russia towards China, top EU diplomat says

The conflict in Ukraine poses a threat to globalization and may create a major “division” in the world, Josep Borrell believes

I came across the detailed review on how MSM is report-Cool-aid-ing on the crisis in Uki, i.e. Azov Batallion ... The same review is posted by at least 10 different web portals available by searching for the title ..."Western Media Clubs Together ..."

Western Media Clubs Together to White-Wash Ukrainian Neo-Nazis

Corporate media tripping over themselves trying to justify alliance with bona fide Nazi militias embedded in Ukraine's military.

During the last week of March, multiple major media outlets in the UK and the US ran stories about Ukraine’s ‘Azov Batalion’, seeking to whitewash almost a decade of previous reporting that clearly identified the unit’s Nazi sympathies and ethos. Supposedly acting independently, they nonetheless stuck to the same talking points and often the same verbiage, suggesting a concerted effort to spin the unit as heroic defenders of Ukraine against the alleged “real” fascists – the Russians.

"We're all feel remorse 'cause Uki got invaded and all. Let's sanction Ruski to the death .. That will help ..." broken heart

Semi-retarded western politics on up-swing!

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/sanctions-russia-may-achieve-oppo...

In Russia, sanctions have taken a bite out of the Russian economy, but interviews and data suggest they cannot fulfill the West's strategic motives for imposing them...

So far, Western sanctions have succeeded in delivering a serious blow to the Russian economy. The Russian ruble has lost almost 30% of its value against the dollar since February 24, a development which has caused prices on imported goods to skyrocket. Further exacerbating Russia’s inflation problem is a wave of panic buying in major cities across the country, with shoppers seeking to stock up on essentials ranging from basic food products to medicines. At the same time, Russian lawmakers have estimated that nearly 96,000 workers have been put on leave following the mass exodus of Western corporations.

Despite these economic costs, however, there is so far little sign that Western sanctions are changing Putin’s political calculus on Ukraine. If anything, there are some reasons to believe that growing sanctions pressure could encourage the Russian president to harden his stance.

Fyodor Lukyanov, chairman of the Council of Foreign and Defense Policy, a research group that advises the Russian government, explained to this page that the high costs inflicted on the Russian economy by Western sanctions have put significant pressure on Moscow to compensate for them with military successes. Consequently, the Kremlin could very well respond to increased sanctions pressure by doubling down on its military operation in Ukraine instead of seeking a diplomatic way out.

“If the West continues to impose new sanctions, then Russia will have no other option but to also raise the stakes because there is no room for retreat,” Lukyanov said. “There is no option in the current situation that would allow us to smoothly take a step back without suffering catastrophic political consequences.”

A similar argument was made by Dmitry Suslov, a professor of international relations at National Research University Higher School of Economics, one of Russia’s most elite universities. Suslov told us that there was currently a divide within the Russian political establishment between supporters of a diplomatic settlement with Ukraine and hawkish elements who want to continue fighting until the Russian military succeeds in bringing about “regime change” in Kyiv.

“Western sanctions right now are the central question,” he explained. “If the West makes it clear that sanctions will at least be partially removed once the military operation comes to an end, then the compromise faction will be strengthened. However, if Moscow gets the sense that the West is waging ‘total economic war’ against Russia, then Putin will have little incentive to not go all the way.”

Much of the Kremlin’s response to sanctions so far has centered on mitigating the damage to the Russian economy rather than hitting back at the West. For example, the Russian central bank has sought to keep the value of the ruble from sliding by hiking up its key interest rate to 20% and limiting foreign currency exchanges.

Never forget this:

Yet both Lukyanov and Suslov predicted that Moscow could introduce its own export controls if tensions with the West continue to escalate. Although Russia’s economy ($1.65 trillion) is much smaller than that of the U.S. ($22.9 trillion) and the European Union ($17.1 trillion), Moscow is a major global supplier of key commodities such as oil, natural gas, grains, timber, and rare earth metals used in the production of computer chips, electric vehicles, and airplanes.

According to a 2019 Rand report titled "Overextending and Unbalancing Russia", the US goal is to undermine Russia just as it did the Soviet Union in the cold war. Rather than "trying to stay ahead" or trying to improve the US domestically or in international relations, the emphasis is on efforts and actions to undermine the designated adversary Russia. Rand is a quasi-US governmental think tank that receives three-quarters of its funding from the US military.

The report lists anti-Russia measures divided into the following areas: economic, geopolitical, ideological/informational, and military. They are assessed according to the perceived risks, benefits and "likelihood of success".

... and if West was ready (which it wasn't!) for the sanctions backlash as you've explained to me, why impose the sanctions in the first place and not go with the diplomacy, instead?

My answer is, Ruskis tried to reason with West/ZATO for long time without a satisfying result.

Furthermore, western economies are on the down-turn even without Uki's crisis, but at least now, politicians have somebody to blame for the high gas price at the home's pumps.

I repeat, Ruski-Not-So-Bad ...

Stiggs:

1. I haven't said there was no provocation. I agreed with that from the start.

2. My point with the sanctions was that any consequences the West faces are a result of their own actions. There was no ' chess strategy' from Russia, they didn't want the sanctions, didn't push anyone to put the sanctions in place as part of some clever strategy.

3. I have said that I understand Russia pushing back against the west but I don't agree that gives them the right to invade a country and force it to be part of Russia.

4. Cool aid... my point is that you yelling about cool aid every time someone disagrees with you is stupid, it's a different opinion. It's even stupider when you constantly cite sources known to regularly fail fact checks. I'm not talking about any one instance in particular, this is a constant theme in your posts and opinions here. You yelling cool aid all the time is a pot -kettle - black example. That's all.

But, sanctions won't/can't work ...! Just look at the sanctioned population count I did above ...

Sanctions can maybe work at the smaller countries without any friends, but IMO, sanctions are just a statement of not-so-powerful-anymore USA and its flunkies.

Now back to the original 'cause of the sanctions, Uki .... over 4 M refugees in a month time, who knows how many deaths ..., country of over 40M residents almost entirely levelled and destroyed... Comedian-turned-president got sent into the slaughter by his western buddies and now what?

It's ridiculous to blame ras-Putin for all that!

Russia will spring back shortly after all their objectives considering Uki are accomplished. Done deal! You can keep yer sanctions, too.

There is a bipolar world already for the last 10-years or even longer and you're (West is ...) fighting the stronger one ... Ohh yeah, we want to slow down Ruski economically and impose democracy-BS there. Right!

I fail to find a point of all USA's recent (and earlier ...) manure all over the globe.

... RANT over!

P.S.

My statements about 'cool-aid' weren't posted as a reply to any of the arguments. I am appalled what I can read and see at MSM and WARNING you, one should look at the reports about the crisis elsewhere ... Western media is clearly mollifying all recent reports out of Uki ...

'add-it': ... considering Putin and the chess game ... one can look at many happenings and interactions in life through the rules of the chess game with a bit of imagination.

At the chess game one wants to seize or prevent certain moves by blocking the most important opponent's chess figures ... 'Putin-is-good-chess-player' meme isn't my invention, .

Many peps over the web consider and view Russian interactions around the world 'as-a' or 'through-the' chess game 'cause Ruskis are masters of the game as Spassky, Karpov, Kasparov and others ...

As an example "Ruski ras-Putin granting an asylum to 'Up-Yours' in 2013", viewed through the chess game:

"USA ('white') did everything to lay hands on "Up-Yours" by blocking all possible escape options out of HK until ras-Putin came out of nowhere and granted him an asylum and we-live-happily-ever-after!".

"Up-Yours" was an utmost important 'piece' 'cause 'white' wasn't aware of how many very important docs "Up-Yours" held on his pocket drive and could expose them to the other foreign governments. 'White' was aware only "Up-Yours" accessed above-the-top-secret files and lengthy download was executed ...

Vlad handed a historical checkmate to the 'whitie' ...

Vlad's interaction in Syria in 2015 could also be viewed through a chess game since Vlad supported Assad, i.e. the 'king' and with some arms made a 'white' (USA) with all their proxies there obsolete ...

Vlad's last move by demanding pay for his gas and oil in Rubles:

"If you can imagine, you're observing two peps playing the game and after you've contemplated all possible options for the next move, you're sure 'black' will lose, 'black' suddenly made a surprising strike and  LMAO  we have a Russian-oil&gas-for-Rubles-only!"

It was also an outstanding move for one who's familiar with the Economics, i.e. Vlad clicked two flies with single snap.

I've learned to play chess before my 5th year of age almost at the same time as I was able to swim in the sea by myself ... My pop was big at both avocations.

I can also develop a wild imagination ...

Have a look at u-Tube for "O. Stone's interview with Vlad" by Kiwi TV .

You'll see the intelligence that guy possesses ...

Macron delivers ruble gas payments decision to Putin – media

Macron told Putin it was impossible for Western clients to pay for gas in Russian currency, the news agency reported on Tuesday, citing an Elysee official.

France is against paying in rubles,” the official said, as quoted by the media.

Putin had previously ordered Russia’s central bank and Gazprom energy giant to ready proposals to have gas payments from “unfriendly” countries made in rubles.

That plan was rejected by the EU and the G7 earlier on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Russia would not supply natural gas to the European market for free, as euros and dollars would not be accepted from March 31.

The Russian list of “unfriendly states,” which initially included just two countries – the US and the Czech Republic – was significantly expanded in March in the wake of the unprecedented economic sanctions imposed on Moscow by the West. Now it includes all the EU members, Ukraine, the UK, Canada, Japan, and others – the nations which condemned Russia’s offensive on Ukraine.

What happens if Russia turns off the gas taps to Europe

Deadline approaches for switching payments to rubles

Who will blink first as the payment deadline approaches? So far, the EU and G7 nations have rejected Russia’s demand to switch their payments for gas to rubles. Russia said it will not provide free gas supplies, suggesting that it is ready to shut off the taps. If that happens Moscow would lose between €200 million to €800 million each day of the embargo. However, Russia could redirect some of the gas to Asia.

Europe would likely face an economic crisis not seen since WWII, as soaring energy prices would send the region’s economies into recession.

So, who will blink first? Place your bets.

Putin Signs Decree Ordering Gas Exports To Be Halted If Buyers Don't Pay In Rubles

Contrary to expectations that Vladimir Putin was bluffing about collecting rubles in exchange for Russian energy exports, moments ago a decree signed by the Russian president confirmed that that was not the case.

According to Bloomberg, Putin said he had signed a decree demanding payment in rubles for Russian gas supplies, which is set to begin April 1 as previously reported. According to the decree, while Russia will continue to supply gas at set volumes and prices, it will demand that buyers of gas open accounts in Russian banks, and warned that Moscow can halt gas contracts if buyers don't pay in rubles; additionally, new proceedings in EUR or USD could be blocked. Pushing what many viewed as a bluff to the edge, Putin said that active contracts will be halted if demands are not met, and explained that the move is meant to increase settlements in national currencies.

Putin's decree follows an earlier report in the Russian press that Gazprom was studying options of halting gas supplies to Europe amid RUB payment issues. It also follows comments from the Kremlin which suggested that it would look into the idea from lawmakers to ask other nations to pay for a wider range of Russia exports in rubles.

GENOCIDE: US-run biolabs in Ukraine have been building bioweapons targeting certain ethnic groups after harvesting DNA from Russians

Has the Pentagon been spending untold millions of American taxpayer dollars to build race-specific bioweapons in Ukraine? The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation says it has proof to think so.

In a recent announcement, Igor Kirillov, head of the Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Protection Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, revealed that the United States military-industrial complex has not only been conducting bat coronavirus-related “experiments” in Ukraine, according to uncovered evidence, but has also been trying to develop bioweapons that selectively target certain ethnicities – and all under the guise of “research.”

“The available documents confirm numerous cases of the transfer of biological samples of Ukrainian citizens abroad,” Kirillov stated. “With a high degree of probability, we can say that one of the tasks of the United States and its allies is the creation of bioagents that can selectively affect various ethnic groups of the population.”

As we reported, the Pentagon has been operating biolabs all over the world, including in Ukraine.

According to Kirillov, some 350 cryocontainers filled with blood serum samples were transferred from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to a reference laboratory for infectious diseases at Australia’s Doherty Institute. This was done under the pretext of identifying antibody titers.

The Russian Defense Ministry obtained documents confirming that this high-risk biological research in Ukraine is, in fact, being led by the United States. Kirillov said the documents show that the U.S. Department of Defense funded this research.

Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland confirms existence of Ukrainian biolabs

In a recent testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland admitted that these biolabs exist, though she made sure to call them “research” facilities, never once mentioning the word bioweapons.

Kirillov said that Nuland did, however, “indirectly” confirm that the U.S. has, in fact, been participating in Ukrainian biological research when she stated that Washington, D.C., is “concerned” about Russia taking over these biolabs.

“The biological research funded by the US in Ukraine, according to Kirillov, included the projects ‘UP-2, UP-9, UP-10, aimed at studying the pathogens of anthrax and African swine fever,'” reported InfoWars.

“The UP-4 project, in particular, is said to have been in development in laboratories in Kyiv, Kharkov and Odessa, and was scheduled until 2020.”

Kirillov also said that the Pentagon has shown interest in insect vectors that are capable of spreading dangerous infectious diseases. More than 140 containers filled with ectoparasites from bats, including fleas and ticks, were captured and transferred from the biological laboratory in Kharkov, he noted.

“According to the available information, the Americans have already managed to evacuate most of the documentation from the laboratories in Kyiv, Kharkov and Odessa, including databases, biomaterials and equipment to the Lvov Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene and to the American Consulate in Lvov,” Kirillov added.

“It is possible that part of the collection will be moved to Poland.”

Biolabs in Georgia, Kirillov added, are also working on projects involving bats as carriers of bioweapons. This is a stark similarity to what was happening at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China, which is believed to be where the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) originated.

Russian Major General Igor Konashenkov expressed similar concerns about the Ukrainian biolabs, warning that U.S.-funded projects there involve the use of bat coronaviruses that can be spread via wild birds that migrate between Russia, Ukraine and other countries.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, meanwhile, denied all of this, claiming that it is “preposterous.”

“It’s the kind of disinformation operation we’ve seen repeatedly from the Russians over the years in Ukraine and in other countries, which have been debunked, and as an example of the types of false pretexts we have been warning the Russians would invent.”

Ukraine’s plans for US-funded biolabs included drones – Russia

Kiev had plans to use pathogens developed in Pentagon-funded biolabs to attack the Donbass and Russia, Moscow says

Documents and other evidence from US-funded laboratories in Ukraine suggest that Kiev was planning to use drones to deploy pathogens against the Donbass as well as Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday. Moscow has also identified specific US officials involved in the development of bioweapons in Ukraine.

Of particular interest to Russian investigators are “documents testifying to the plans of the Kiev regime to use unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying and spraying deadly substances,” military spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said during a briefing.

Facts in the possession of the Russian military “prove that the Kiev regime was seriously considering the possibility of using biological weapons against the population of the Donbass and the Russian Federation,” Konashenkov added.

Russia has also identified “specific officials who took part in the creation of components of biological weapons,” the general added. He did not name any of them, however, saying only they were “the heads of divisions and employees of the US Department of Defense, as well as its main contractors.”

These campaigns were directly related to the son of the current US president, Hunter Biden,” Konashenkov added, citing investigations in the Western media. Last week, the Daily Mail published emails showing Biden’s ties to the Pentagon contractor Metabiota, which specialized in researching pandemic-causing pathogens that could be used as bioweapons.

Hunter Biden’s involvement in the US funding of Ukrainian biolabs was brought up by Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, commander of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces, in a briefing last Thursday.

The results of the further analysis of documents and other evidence obtained from Ukrainian biolabs will be shared in more detail “in the near future at a special briefing,” Konashenkov promised.

Washington has long claimed that allegations about Pentagon-funded biolaboratories in Ukraine were “Russian disinformation.” Earlier this month, however, US diplomat Victoria Nuland testified before the Senate that there were “biological research laboratories in Ukraine” and the US was working with Kiev “to ensure that the materials of biological research do not fall into the hands of Russian forces.”

It looks, Medvedev and RT copied their ideas from my thread ... broken heart

https://www.rt.com/russia/552977-new-world-financial-order-is/

‘New world financial order’ is coming – Moscow

The US and EU have “tarnished their reputation” by freezing Russia’s central bank reserves, ex-President Dmitry Medvedev has said

A new financial order will be negotiated in the world, and the West won’t have the main say in it anymore, ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has claimed.

The sanctions imposed on Russia by the US, EU, and their allies over the conflict in Ukraine have failed to cripple to the country, but are instead “returning to the West like a boomerang,” Medvedev, the former Russian president who is now the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, wrote on Telegram. “This is hurtful for our ‘friends’ in Europe and overseas.”

But while the West continues its “fruitless efforts” to restrict Russia, “the world is gradually moving towards a new logic of global economic relations; towards upgrading the financial system,” he said.

According to Medvedev, the US and EU have “tarnished their reputation” by blocking the reserves of the Russian central bank. “It is impossible to trust those who freeze the accounts of other states; steal other people’s business assets and personal possessions, compromising the principles of sanctity of private property.”

After the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine in late February, the US and EU froze nearly half of Russia’s foreign currency reserves, worth $300 billion. Washington created a special Task Force, KleptoCapture, to oversee the implementation of sanctions against Moscow and seize the assets of individuals and entities who violate them.

Confidence in reserve currencies is “fading like the morning mist,” and the prospect of abandoning the dollar and euro in this role does not seem like such an unrealistic prospect anymore, he said. “The era of regional currencies is coming.”

Russia said that from March 31, it will only accept payments for gas in rubles from “unfriendly countries,” which include the US and EU, while China and Saudi Arabia have been discussing switching to the yuan in their oil trade.

“No matter if they want it or not, they’ll have to negotiate a new financial order,” Medvedev said. “And the decisive voice will then be with those countries that have a strong and advanced economy, healthy public finances and a reliable monetary system. And not with those who endlessly inflate their public debt, issuing more and more pieces of paper into circulation which aren’t backed by national wealth.” broken heart

What's the point of this post after all? OP, you seek answers or you wanna preach? crying

icnif77:

These are economic assessments and measures, which are connected to the Sanction-Ruski movement by the western alliance ... and Russia being one of the largest producers and exporters of nat. gas&oil, grains, fertilizer, timber and more ... in the world.

It also shows, Russian response to the sanctions which most of them make sanctions obsolete as "original purpose of the western sanctions were to weaken of Ruski's economy," but then ras-Putin replied with the new counter-requirements as " ... all Russian nat. oil&gas can be purchased only with Rubles" which made Ruble snap back and recover all pre-sanctions value in a week time. Imagine, Yuan would lose 70% of the value in a short time ...

It should be funny thread , but as it looks I'm really preaching (just 'cause I was right!), which wasn't my original intention.

Have an up-vote ...

Impact of western sanctions to Russian currency ... angel

Finally, now that it appears the ruble will have to be purchased by western powers, the currency has completed its roundtrip to pre-invasion levels.

Documents detail fate of US-funded deadly pathogens that may have been tested on Ukrainians

The Russian military has presented documents showing Ukraine’s interest in using drones to deliver weaponized pathogens developed in US-funded biolabs. Names of US officials involved in the biolabs projects, and the role the current US president’s son played in the program, were also made public during the special briefing on Thursday.

One of the key pieces of evidence was a letter from the Ukrainian company Motor Sich to the  Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar Makina – makers of the Bayraktar TB2 and Akinci UAVs – dated December 15, 2021. The Ukrainians specifically asked if the drones could carry 20 liters of aerosolized payload to a range of 300 kilometers – putting them in range of a dozen major Russian cities and almost all of Belarus.

“We are talking about the development by the Kiev regime of technical means of delivery and use of biological weapons with the possibility of their use against the Russian Federation,” said Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, commander of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces.

Kirillov showed signed contracts between US government agencies – Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Pentagon, the Department of State – and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, as well as the specific facilities inside Ukraine. The Pentagon spent more than $30 million for biological research at just one Ukrainian facility, the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health, according to the Russian military.

EU Warns China Not to Interfere With Russia Sanctions In Summit, Urges Xi To Condemn Invasion

Update(1600ET): In a Friday virtual summit, European leaders urged Chinese President Xi Jinping to press Moscow to abandon the invasion of Ukraine, and to end China's tacit support to Russia. According to The Washington Post's commentary on the meeting, the Chinese side seemed less interested in the summit focusing on the war from the start.

“We called on China to end the war in Ukraine," European Council President Charles Michel said in a post-meeting statement to the press. "China cannot turn a blind eye to Russia’s violation of international law." The official EU statement said, "As major global powers, the EU and China must work together on stopping Russia's war in Ukraine as soon as possible. We have a common responsibility to maintain peace and stability, and a safe and sustainable world."

A statement published by the Chinese side, however, barely mentioned Russia and instead focused on stressing that China and Europe should cooperate on efforts to "stabilize" the world. Xi Jinping called the Ukraine conflict "deeply regrettable" - but again stopped short of condemning the Russian invasion.
