Q: Wow ...That's Clever

As promised / Threatened this is the first post in the series of Bring back the population .

wink

I love traveling and one of the perks is discovering new and diffrent things .

Now we have all had the OMFG are you serious moments that sometimes leaves a trace of Vomit in your mouth

However sometimes we come across something that makes you think Wow that is great .

for example ...I found a cooking pot lid with a built in stand on the handle...How clever ...it saves space and reduces mess when not in use as it can stand upright on its own.

I wish I could post a photo but I'm not smart enough to do it on this page.

(HMMMMM note to Ecc you might want to look into that)

Anyway now its your turn to add to the conversation and tell us about the Good stuff you have found in China .

Also if you liked the post or found it helpfull give it a thumbs up.

If you think you wasted a couple minutes of your life reading this ...give it a thumbs down

The only technological innovation that comes to mind now is Taobao. I can now get almost anything from almost anywhere in only two or three days (not to mention the benefits reaped by the myriad of small shops with listings on the site). It's so good, Amazon and Walmart have both tried to replicate it elsewhere. There are a few snaks I could call clever, too, but that's probably a different conversation

I can't think of any clever inventions off the top of my head, I know they exist because more than once I remember saying to myself "now that's a fecking good idea", but when you try to think of a specific example... well the mind is blank.

Shoes though, and taking them off at the door. After living in Asia and getting used to taking them off before you go into a house, or even a restaurant or shop in some countries I can't understand how I ever thought it was ok to wear my shoes inside.

I know it's simple, but sometimes simple is best.  The lidded coffee/tea cups.  Now I pretty much have to have it that way.  I leave my coffee cup out on the counter for hours, with even some unfinished coffee in it,,,,   so, I luv the lidded ones, especially that here they are just the normal, default cup.

dunno if this qualifies,,,,  but WeChat.  yeah, the chat part of it, but what impresses me the most these days is wechat pay...   is that convenient, or what !?

It also has taken a heck of a lot of getting used to,,,  that is not paying with cash,,,,  just scanning and beeping,,,  haha,,, sometimes feels so weird and fake...   I know it works and has security and all that,,, but someday the hackers are gonna have a hell of a time with that!

*other places countries may have/use these two I mentioned,,,  just I haven't been out of china in a long time,,,  so I dunno if it's only China are not....

I know i might be bucking the trend here but I'm a fan of the squatter. Yes, thank you china.
Now don't get me wrong, i do enjoy a pristine western crapper but the squatter adds a little spice to my shite life.

Stiggs:

They're especially spicy when you drop your phone in and you're standing there looking down wondering just how much it's worth to you.
