Q: You eat pork in front of a Muslim, you racist!!!
I heard this from the radio the other day. This was a personal story of a mainland chinese girl working in USA, who posted it on her Facebook.
One day, she got tired of eating the food in the company's canteen so she went out and got some pork whatever for lunch.
As she was eating her lunch, two other Muslim girls, her colleagues came along and asked if they could join her. Of course she said yes.
As the three were chatting along happily, another colleague, an American girl came along. Upon seeing she was eating pork in front of the two Muslim girls the American girl immediately reprimanded her for not respecting Muslim culture. She explained she was there first.
The other two Muslim girls, seeing that, said they did not mind her eating pork at all and they didn't feel being disrespected. At this point, the American girl said the two Muslim girls were being disrespectful of the Muslim culture, their own culture. 
You tell me, is this world weird or not?

Weird isn't the word I'd choose.. I might go something like ludicrous or pathetic instead.
Seriously, people who are just going out there trying to be offended by something have had life too easy IMO. People who are working hard, doing their best to get by in life don't tend to get upset by nonsense like that.

yes i am a disrespectful reprobate and damn proud of it, when i was in the legion in africa i would tell jews and muslims both to go to hell and pass the pork chops, the world and cultures evolve, we don't stone women anymore well maybe in the middle east, we dont have slaves anymore maybe in sudan, but i'm quite sure a pig is cleaner and has a better diet than it did 2000 years ago. get over it, and pass me those ribs. The best way to enjoy pork is eating the pig ears with broccoli soaked in soy sauce and vinegar with a cold negro modello, damn i have made myself hungry.

Simple - person A chooses to do something that affects nobody but herself.
Persons B & C - obviously being fairly sane - take not offence to person A's actions - cos it doesn't directly affect them.
Person D - being a moron - decides to take offence on behalf of Persons B & C, even though they don't know each other.
Persons B & C state that there is no reason for offence to be taken (and, presumably, they'd be the people to know whether they are (or should be) insulted or not).
Person D then insults persons B&C, by effectively calling them ignorant (and racist). And, of course, Person D knows best.... (they're probably American*!)
Thus, Person D is a moron! Or, if you didn't get it, the girl who said the Muslims should be offended at someone else's actions that have zero affect on them, is the moron.
But - it's not surprising.... the US has in its constitution that there is to be no official religion for the country (doctrine of separation of church and state) - and yet has 'In god we trust" written in so many official documents, and on buildings around the country, etc etc....
Muslims have shown us no trust nor stability in the world today. While a Muslim could be be sitting in front of me with full loving heart, I couldn't trust them. A culture that leads them to do crazy things and believe the things they do could make me care less about what they don't like.
So I'm happy to eat the fattest pork meat in front of any Muslim.

American liberals are dumb, they are too stupid to understand that Muslim are not allowed to eat pork and that edict comes down from their religion. It has 0 bearing on anyone else.

there is a muslim restaurant right outside the gate of my school, very good food, they let me bring a cold beer in to drink (allah forbids alcohol) with my dinner about 3 times a week, i guess that makes me an indifferent racists, but they always smile at me and i teach the kids a little English.
When there is a crowd they find me a table and start cooking my food, since i always order the same thing, as soon as i walk in the door.

No, that girl is not a conservative. Many American conservatives wouldn't know jack about Muslims and their habits/rules. Because, if it's not in your in-group, then there's no need to know anything about it.
(PS - also need to remember that ISIS and its ilk are extremely 'conservative').

on the news they are claiming the new generation (15 - 26 +/-) are a bunch of crybabies. some stories about they way they reacted to Trump's win were like something out of a funny movie. Supposedly they had to be 'comforted' so they wouldn't die from depression I guess. Stories say the university would arrange a 'safe place' for them to chill out in. And provide them with (are you ready?) Hot cocoa, coloring books, and Play Doh !!!

we have a teacher from america, inter racial marriage, looks more white than black married to an american who happens to be black.
a chinese student comes in to the office and sees the photo of her family and says in horror " you married to the black" as if "are you crazy", It was a very awkward moment and I promptly got up and left for some coffee. The student of course did not think anything was wrong at all with his response.

she gave them a lecture on martin luther king and civil rights for 2 days, I left for coffee because i would get an earful about how crazy china is for the rest of the day and i already know all about that, but watching new teachers get slapped with a good dose of reality is very entertaining at times.

Muslims are part of a religious (Islam), not a specific racial group. It's impossible to be correctly called a racist in the context suggested.
The prohibition of eating pork in Islam is derived from the following Surah of the Qur’an:
“Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah.”
[Al-Qur’an 5:3]
BTW,
The Bible also prohibits the consumption of pork.
“And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you”.
“Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you.”
[Leviticus 11:7-8]
“And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.”
[Deuteronomy 14:8]
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

Not directly, perhaps. Yet, there usually is a relationship between a race and the dominant religion that race adopts, in this case, Islam and Middle East are inseparable. So, it is possible to connect a dominant religion with a certain race.
Thousands of years ago there might be practical, hygienic reasons for abstaining from eating pork due to the large amount of bacteria in them. This is the problem with these two sets of scriptures --- no scientific explanations given, i.e. explain the why part. They are not to be blamed though, how could you explain bacteria to people 2000+ years ago who hadn't even heard of light bulbs, let alone seen a microscope?
That said, in 2016, an authoritarian kick-you-in-the-as* approach only leads to increasing number of people to walk away from them, which is a bit sad considering that both books contain some good moral guidelines. Look at PRC, a place wiped clean of ALL religions for about 50 years......just look at the "people"........

That's from the King James version. But all versions say the same.
Jesus was talking about the old testiment here. He was a Jew after all, and he lived by the Jewish rules. The rules that went to great length about not eating fish without scales, or shellfish or even shrimp. Pork was a major no no to Jesus.
And in terms of the the era they lived in, it made sense. Parasites and all that. No antibiotics in them days, and no pink pigs. If you had fed your kids pork in those days, some parasitic worm would have likely rendered them blind.
Followers of Islam do not eat pork because the old testiment says not to. But they are mocked for it. But the followers of Jesus eat it, disobeying him.
Sure, go to the interweb, and evidence will be found that Christians can eat pork. The American bible basher web is full of it. But this is all stuff from Acts or Romans. And there is no clear instruction to say a bacon buttie is ok. Nor shrimp barbies.
In case you say I am taking a quote out of context: Matthew 5:17 to Matthew 20:

For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the law until all is accomplished. That's sort of difficult to argue with. Some Bibles have the spoken word of Christ in Red. Not to be debated or disagreed with. Indeed, the claim is made that the bible is true, because it has not changed to suit any political agenda.
Of course, aethiests can fill their boots with mockery, and eat whatever they want. Of course they can. As can members of any of the other thousands of religions on earth.
I was born into Christianity. My daughter was born into a Buddhist family. I don't want to teach my daughter religion, but on Saturday we were at an international day in GZ that was full of Christians. She was tempted to a brainwashing stall where she was offered pictures to colour in, while being told how great Jesus is.
The next day, I took her to a Buddhist temple, where we lit incense sticks together and bowed three times before the icons.
She asked me what a temple was, and who was God. I said there is plenty of time, You decide for yourself as you get older.
I detest the Taliban. The Islamic taliban, and the Christian taliban. They are as bad as each other.
Anyone who mocks a person for their religious belief is a taliban member.
Religious freedom is a human right. It's in the UN declaration of human rights. We should all respect it.
