Q: You have to see this fine 'GTF-Out-of-My-Sea' video from Ozz ...

https://www.rt.com/news/425459-dolphin-tackles-paddleboarder-asutralia/

Dolphin takes down paddleboarder in incredibly well-timed shunt (VIDEO)

Jaw-dropping footage from Western Australia shows what may be the beginning of a dolphin uprising against humanity. In the video, one member of a gang of the mammals unexpectedly launches a full-body assault on an innocent man.

Stiggs:

I don't think the dolphin was trying to hit him.

What I think happened was that they were surfing the wave and minding their own business and suddenly Flipper saw a paddle board in front of him so he thought shit, gots to think fast here and tried to jump over it and that's when he found out there was a dude standing on it.

I bet later the dolphins were drinking a beer and talking about how that idiot grommet was right in their way, he was lucky he didn't cop a tail across the nose... stupid groms need to stay out of the real surfers way!

I was thinking the Oz guy was just lucky to be alive.  That mammal must be a good 300kg? or 250 anyway,, traveling maybe 20km/h?  25?  If he had aimed his nose/snout or whatever it's called and hit the guy square in the chest, I could see that inducing Cardiac Arrest!

I find it:

http://www.whalefacts.org/how-much-do-dolphins-weigh/

The world’s smallest dolphins, commonly called Hector’s dolphins, include a subspecies called Maui’s dolphin.

These dolphins live off the coast of New Zealand, and the average adult weight of these small mammals is 88 to 132 pounds (40 to 60 kilograms).

They have an average adult length of 3.8 to 5.3 feet (1.2 to 1.6 meters).

One of the larger dolphins that is still called a dolphin in the common tongue is Risso’s dolphin, which is also known as Grampus.

This animal, which has been spotted offshore in both warm temperate and tropical waters worldwide, weighs 660 to 1,100 pounds (300 to 500 kilograms) and measures from 8.5 to 13 feet (2.6 to 4 meters) in length when it has reached adulthood.

I spoke to the guy from Brisbane this AM ... who's surfer ... and he saw the same vid and said: 'Stiggs is right!', i.e. hit wasn't intentional in his opinion, 'cause dolphins are very friendly, playful animals ...

Stiggs:

It's something we'll never know because the dolphin isn't going to tell anyone but it's not uncommon to see dolphins surf the same waves with people, you can swim with dolphins and if you're lucky they'll come and play with you - there are tourism ventures built around swimming with dolphins in fact. It's true, they are friendly, playful animals, they've even been known to help people in trouble in the water.

It would be a pretty rare thing to get attacked by a dolphin and if you did it's probably because the dolphin thought you were threatening its baby or something and I think you'd get rammed at high speed with its nose.

That was funny. Even the victim was happy, when he heard it was filmed.

Stiggs is right.  Dolphins body surf waves all the time.  It is very likely those dolphins were seen many times that day riding the waves in that area.  That guy picked a crowded place to paddle his board, and probably did so knowing that dolphins surf there.  End of story.

What this story is not, is:  "GTF out . . . jaw-dropping . . . [an] uprising . . . a gang [dolphins group together in 'pods'] . . . [an] assault on an innocent man".

Just another badly hacked copy and paste job that has nothing to do with China.

icnif77:

It just depends how you CAN see it, doesn't it?

To me, it looks like dolphin made a move with its  flukes ... what swindled dolphin's whole body slightly to the L and into the paddleboarder.

Dolphin in my view could easily pass the man ...

1.2 M hits is another interesting data, buTT .... people like you can cry ...

Have a look around the Internet on comments/titles about the same vid. Here are two:

Paddleboarder smacked off his board by possibly hungry, annoyed dolphin

https://www.chron.com/pets/article/Paddleboarder-Australia-knocked-down-dolphins-pod-12873513.php

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/watch-this-paddleboarder-get-straight-up-wrecked-by-a-dolphin_us_5ae4e2c0e4b055fd7fcc4a01

Andrew: “Hats off to him, he connected with me really well,” he added.

That dolphin knew exactly what it was doing.

Have a look at posters comments above .... and it has nothing to do with China ....

Maybe I should edit the title of this thread to:

''Are there any dolphins in internationally recognised 'freedom-of-navigation' areas of South China Sea?'' .... to be on 'Events in China' s-topic

Here you have it ''SCS, i.e. 'freedom of navigation' dolphin":

https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/ce196e76-8bac-3ec1-9ccc-d752744e157e/ss_video-shows-man-on-south.html

Authorities in China are searching for a man who w as seen on a South  China beach walking away with a dolphin draped over his shoulder on Tuesday, video footage shows. In the video, the man is wearing board shorts and appears to be smiling. The beach is located on Hailing Island, a popular tourist destination off the coast of China’s Guangdong province, 150 miles south of Hong Kong. A local marine patrol, cited by the British paper The Sun, said witnesses saw the man walk up to the dolphin after it beached itself. But rather than push it back into the water, the man left with the animal, the official said.

A:What is 'formal offer letter'? Only legally accepted employment offer I know is a Contract! ... so, you just don't accept and sign the contract with the lower salary! Email exchanges, verbal discussions and other promises between you and employer aren't legally binding, so legal action isn't recommended. Mainly legal effective thingy is employer's stamped and signed contract! ... and after you ink it, employer can/will use your signed contract to apply for all necessary documents at Chinese governmental agencies as Working permit and all ... It would be better for you to not accept employment with such an employer, IMO 'cause you'll experience similar troubles by employer not respecting the contract later on. -- icnif77
