Can British citizen live in China as semi Retire?

I am Married and 57 Years old I am businessmen, I would like to rent out my properties in UK and go and live in China as semis retire couple. Can anyone help me on China visa legislation?

unless you are willing to pay the obscene cost for a permanent residents permit my advice would be for you 2 to teach english at a university. 14 hours a week
