Changing a 60 days notice of leaving into 30 days? Any legal rights to that?

My employer, an "international" kindergarten, states in its contract that you must provide 60 days notice in order to quit. Chinese teachers at the school only must provide 30 days notice. I've heard that legally it should be 30 days. Is there any way, or official documents that I can use to change my 60 days notice into 30 days if and when I decided to leave?
