How exactly can I find jobs  in small villages in China? I have scoured the internet only to find English teaching jobs in major cities. Is there a proper way to go about doing this? I want the real China experince, not the Western version. Any ideas?

You don't have to work at a small village to get the "real China" experience. Just work in a small city. Although there is some Western influence there, such as McDonald's, you can avoid it. You will still get plenty of stares from the locals. You can still use a squat toilet if you want to (and sometimes may not have a choice). Get a job teaching at a college in small city. It's probably close enough to what you're looking for.

True. On the other hand, I want* to work in a small village.  I actually want to help. I'm not teaching for pay, and most cities are either too westernized, or are too large 6-7 million people. I want to work in a place with none to few foreighers, non westernized, with around 2 million or less.
