"LAME DUCKS" at work.......
by HappyExPat » Nov 14, 2012 09:52 am in Current affairs    Replies 5 Views 1245

I was wondering while enjoying my daily brew, what will be the attitude of the "lame ducks" which still have some real important issues to deal with before 12-31-2012 that it will offficailly close.

Congress in USA must deal with "fiscal cliff", what will the attitude of those who were not re-elected ? Will they place "the people" first, or will they vote no to everything?.

I guess we shall know in a few days...........

Any "predictions"?

Well, the only thing most people hate more than ducks is cripples, so a crippled duck would be just the worst. So I guess that's why we have that expression.

The GOP moderates in the house cave, and a deal gets done to raise revenue by raising taxes on people that make over 100k a year. This will be matched to token cuts in entitlements like Medicare and social security. Member's of the Tea Party caucus throw a temper tantrum, but honestly, there isn't really much they can do against a united front of Democrats and moderate Republicans.

Isn't it weird that the Oval Office still doesn't have a computer?
