I saw sign for a 4D movie theatre a while back and after laughing a bit it god me thinking: if time is the fourth dimension then isn't every movie, at the very least, 3D?

Time isn't generally grouped with the spatial coordinates, so I am going to go with "no".

When we use the phrase 2D or 3D we are talking about a specific point in time, not the shape of the object in spacetime.

Pysicicsts tend to use more precise terminology, such as the concept of embedding from topology.
