This is rigid. North of the #1 bridge, there are dozens nice, gentle hiking trails that people run on (quite a beautiful area), but if the weather is nice even the most pleasant once will be swamped with tourists and people taking photos. Unfortunately, Hangzhou is pretty densely built and you have to go pretty far out of the city (or just wait for rain) to get away from the crowd.
