A word of caution

Jun 26,2012 Feedback

Hey folks,

This message goes out to those suffering from multiple personality disorder:

I sincerely empathize with your plight, however in the interest of keeping my feline workload to a strict minimum, please refrain from creating as many avatars as there are bones in Chinese fish. Also, while I understand that your answers may appeal to your other avatars on a surprisingly personal level, again, please exercise restraint by not up-voting them. Fail to abide by these rules and your bank may get robbed.

TLDR: don't up-vote your own answers.

March 14th - Randomize question

Mar 14,2012 Feedback

Hey folks,

A new 'randomize question' feature was implemented today (right beneath My Points in your profile box). Incidentally, this may have caused some of the text on your screens to shift. If that's the case, try these two options:

- Control + F5
- Clean up your cache browser

If neither of these options solves the problem, send me a PM.

Hi folks,

A couple of points-related changes have been implemented:

- Each question now earns you 5 points, with a possible 'crit' chance for 10 points.
- Logging in once a day nets you 1 point.

March 7th - Answers of the Day tracking page

Mar 07,2012 Feedback

Hey folks,

We've just implemented an 'Answers of the Day' page, where you can view all past Answers of the Day. To access the page, click on the two red, sideways arrows next to the Answer of the Day.

Unfortunately, we lost quite a few (read: most) of them, so if you remember one of your answers being selected, feel free to send me the link to it by private message.

Jan. 30th - A call to reason and respect

Jan 30,2012 Feedback

Dear members,

As some of you may have witnessed over the past week or so, there have been cases of harassment going on between users of the site. We understand that it is impossible to get along with everyone (especially on the internet), however we ask that you treat others with equal measures of respect. If you find certain users to be insufferable and insulting, do not respond to them publicly and report whichever messages you find offensive. They will be dealt with swiftly.

Also note, however, that we will be equally severe in our response to those who report abuse just for the sake of it, or believe threats and blackmail are effective tools to getting other members banned.

The Answers board belongs to all, not to a select few.

Regards,
Business Cat

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
