Q: 1st day back at kindergarten today
1st day back at kindergarten lots of crying children,lots of new children.
my boy is in K1 this term and he is not crying he is very happy playing with toys.
good luck to all the children and parents starting school or kindergarten today.
Oh thank god! I've been discussing with others for weeks how we're desperate for schools to start again. Sick and tired of children running screaming and generally terrorizing the city all day long. I look forward to a bit of piece and quiet (at least as much as that's possible in China).
This isn't meant to be a reflection on your boy Rob, just Chinese kids in general. Good luck to him and all the teachers out there, especially first timers. I've met a few newbies in the last few weeks, most of them seemed to be wondering what the hell they've let themselvs in for.

China is the opposite from back home when it comes to kid's behavior.
While back home teenagers tend to be rebellious, in China they are submissive.
In China, it's the young ones, kindergarten and primary kids, who are bullies and run around and do whatever the hell crosses their mind with no restraint whatsoever from their parents.
I have seen many cases of young kids hurting themselves because of the lack of restraint. The most recent case was at my gym, which usually doesn't allow kids so the mom must have been very insisting, the kid was running around and climbing on the machines while his mom was working out and not watching him at all, a disaster waiting to happen.
What was due to happen indeed happened and the kid bumped head first into some weights on a rack, started crying. Oh boy the staff came rushing and the mom started blaming them like it's their fault. Note that the weights were not in a mess, they were where they are supposed to be when people don't use them.
The mom was cursing and blaming and insulting the staff and asking for compensation (of course). Some customer guy who comes every day to work out stood up and started yelling at the mom telling her she is a cunt and fucking stupid to bring her kid at the gym, the gym is no place for a kid and she should have watched him, he then told her to shut up, grab her stuff and GTFO with her spoiled brat in an extremely angry tone. She did so.
I admire that guy, it's rare to see Chinese people stand up in the face of stupidity and plain arrogance.
