I can understand Greece and Rome are like Star War civilization to most Chinese. Some will even argue
why should we know about Rome and Greece.Ancient China was more advanced than anything other country.
We maintained that "advanced state" for 1000 years till Westerns "destroyed" our advanced "civilization".
Cool, I have no problem with that.
But why on earth no foreign Historical movies are available anywhere in China, ever?
300:rise of an empire is available in almost every country on this planet.I could not find a single city in China playing
this movie?
"why should we know about Rome and Greece.Ancient China was more advanced than anything other country." because they had f'ing usable public bathrooms.
as to the movie, movies are meant to tell about how awesome China is, so this movie is pointless
The CCP media oversight people only allow a limited number of foreign films to enter the Chinese market each year. Many studios lobby for those few slots. It could be that the studio in America just didn't submit this particular movie to the Chinese market. It's not always all China's fault that things don't work out the way we like.

Not China's fault they don't submit every movie to be one of the 20 allowed!
I can't stop laughing.
@xinyuren is right. Only something like 34 foreign movies are allowed to be shown, and that is almost always going to be superhero movies that will make a bazzilion dollars. The 300 sequal wasnt expcted to be very big or due that well. I doubt they even tried to bring it here. Especially as its a sequal and if I remember correctly the first one wasnt shown here either. Which is a shame as the movie was freaking cool, although Im not sure if you can call 300 anywhere close to an historical film.
Other than what Xin said, why have 300 shown here, when it's basically the same as most ofher Chinese non-modern movies they make here? (admittedly, with better blood effects )
