Q: With 420000 jobs advertised why can't I get a job

I notice on your web site there are currently over 420000 jobs advertised in China for foreign teachers.

I have good teaching experience as a foreign teacher in China but still cannot get a job.

I am over 60 and I ask is this the reason for my unsuccessfull job aplications.

Search-engine.com:

https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/work.htm

*What is the age limit for Z visa application?

The age limit is 18 - 60 for all applicants. However, there is some flexibility in these requirements, so if you are not in this age range and can find a willing employer, they may still be able to obtain approval for you.

Sadly, being 60 or over is the problem....

TimClarksson:

Well... not really. I'm much younger, and I also haven’t received any responses on this website for about two years. No one even looks at my CVs when I apply, which makes me think many of the job offers might be fake. It just seems impossible—and I’ve never encountered a situation like this before.

Maybe, it wouldn't be bad to research job vacancy employer/school over the web and contact them over their Co.'s email address, too.

That would clear many misunderstandings ...

Well, 60 and over is an issue.. As for your experience, maybe your CV doesn't warrant any responses.

A: What are you going to do, if I tell you answer is: 'forever' or 'never
A:What are you going to do, if I tell you answer is: 'forever' or 'never'? Chinese recruiters don't have the same habits as the western recruiters have ... Never stop sending your CV to the job offers, not even when you have an invitation or two for an interview! Don't expect Chinese will send you "Thank you for your application. You weren't selected at this time ...!" notice, so keep sending yer CV to the newly posted job openings. Looking for a job in China was like a part-time job in my time in China ... Good luck! -- icnif77
