Q: 5 adjs to describe Chinese students?!?!

So I just met a Chinese colleague who has been teaching Mandarin in America for about a year, I have been teaching in China for over four years, she was very shocked to hear me label Chinese students as 'lazy', at the same time she labeled American students as 'lazy'.  So I am wondering what are 5 adjs you would use to describe Chinese students??

By the way I was not very shocked to hear her thoughts about American students, but just concerned perhaps my perception is inaccurate..........

Based on 2 years of teaching science & engineering topics in university
1 Unmotivated
2 Sloppy
3 Silent
4 Mechanical
5 Insecure

But I always had about 10% of the students who were just the reverse of all this.

I've been teaching in China for almost ten years and i'd choose a school here over one back home in London in a heartbeat. I had a friend back home hit a teacher in the face with a shoe. Knew of another fella who held the headmaster against the wall with a chair. I find students here more respectful of their teachers than we were when I was a kid. We'd flick spit on teachers and all sorts. Having said that though I teach mainly little kids now and I have had one of them wipe a booger on my arm once. Five words to describe my current students? A - PAIN - IN - THE - ARSE. I have a laugh teaching them though.
