Q: 7am phone calls. Do you get these?
There seems to be no time that is deemed too early to call someone here. My wife's phone (and a some cases, mine) may ring as early as 7 or 7:30am. Don't they have any respect for other people's personal time? I would rather get the call at 10pm the night before.
No, I've even gotten messages from the phone company at midnight, other messages or calls at 2 in the morning. This is why I put my phone on silent at night, or I could be woken up at who knows what hour.
Not only at 7 am, but sometimes at 2 and 3 am too. But I have a pay back. My cell phone saves the cell number of the calls received, with date and time. Ja, Ja, when I get up (if I do) at night for WC, I pick my cell phone and entertain myself calling back those that annoyed me at weird hours too. Since I started that, only sales calls come in at odd hours.
That is why after my first term I NEVER give my number to my students (except the class monitor). I was getting text messages and calls as late as 2 am!
Now, I do get those "one time ringgers" at all hours but being a VERY deep sleeper, I dont know it unless I am already awake or I see the number the next day.
I always am but that doesn't mean I want to be bothered by trivial crap at that time.
