Q: ABC Card question...

I am considering putting a photo of my ABC card in my current CV and job applications. So, what I wanted to ask you guys is what would you do?

 Would you put a .jpg copy of your ABC card?

 If you did would you blank out the QR code or not?

 Any other thoughts / advice regarding ?

Don’t see any need myself but if you did I’d definitely suggest you blank out the QR code.

Hi man, have you ever scanned your QR code? It has wayyyyyyyy too much information to allow it to fall into the wrong hands, small chance yes, but its no ones business but yours and the employers. Just take a picture of it and than blur out the long number# and family name and the QR code also, do it artistic and nice with photo shop so it looks CV worthy.

I can see where you are coming from, it does spicy up the CV a bit because no matter where you go to work next, that Working Permit card number # is yours forever during your work life and stay in China..

I scanned it just once, but didn't really pay much attention to what it revealed.  I scanned with the WeChat scanner, is that what most people use?  Ok, I'll blot out the QR good and attach a copy (.jpg) to my application file.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
