Q: Admin: It is crystal clear that the CFTU is back promoting their sites. Please ban them.

maybe we should start a thread with a theme like:"post any new CFTU account here". then we can just mention new usernames like Wendy.Weihai and XXXLARGE, referencing the walls of links to their dodgy websites/topics as evidence. ultimately, it's up to admin whether it merits banning or deletion. a single, relevant thread that resurfaces whenever CFTU type spamming occurs, is less annoying clutter than starting new Questions every time with "Hello AdminKitty, do this now."

Englteachted:

true, but it is fucking annoying. The accounts always follow the same pattern. After the accounts are discovered and called out they resort to basic spamming . They know the clock is ticking and they want to pollute the site with their links

You are nuts Wendy.  Did you read what you posted?

Which is it?

This has to be intentional. Is this some sort of code that is meant to be a cry for help?  Are you being held hostage by some evil wumao gang?

You contradict yourself in the same post.  It's as if you want to be caught out. Ah yes, of course you do. Because then you can claim I am an evil recruiter out to diss you.

Yeah yeah.

Thanks for a day of entertainment.  Now feck off.

Try scratching his butt

RiriRiri:

Deleting the posts from said bogus accounts would be a good thing too. First it would prevent him from getting more SEO attention and second the questions and answers are frankly quite stupid anyway.

Nope. I am against censorship.

Let his posts stand. I was looking for an old post of mine but it had been deleted because this guy had hijacked it.

Give it two days, then he will start posting nonsense on every thread he can so he gets banned. Then there will be more stories about how bad echina is all over the internet.

The good news seems to be..... needs to be confirmed.... his links don't work.  Maybe the thread on asking if he was Government has been noticed.  If so, good on you big red button man. China does not need this rubbish wink.

But of course, I am against censorship, in principle

But you said IN THIS THREAD that CFTU members are "forbidden by their membership agreement to publicly discuss CFTU matters"

so are they banned or silenced by their solemn oath to the CFTU?

What is the punishment if they speak of CFTU matters to outsiders?

I mean really how would The Leader even find out? I could be a CFTU Member (except their aren't any) and just post that I am one and "discuss CFTU matters" on this forum. How would The Leader even know it was me??

I think this idea that there are all these members that are told they can't speak of the CFTU in public and actually follow that rule is probably the most farfetched part of the whole story!

www.cleverchinacheaters.com

And

www.international-recovery-service.com

I have found the source.

Very clever. You need to register with the CFTU to gain access to these websites and the services they provide.

It's a debt collection agency.

http://www.cityweekend.com.cn/beijing/blog/scam-busters-introducing-chin...

Quote:

instead of moaning, the guys behind China Scam Patrol and International Recovery Service (IRS), two scam-busting companies that were started by people who had been cheated, are taking action.

This goes back to 2012. This is a direct published link between China scam patrol and a commercial debt collection company.

This is a scam.

jetfire9000:

He wears a Fedora? wahahaha! Does he tip it up a bit and say "good'day mi'lady" too?

I'm confused why they'd have an editorial published about their "real" services, while trying to mask those services through a spider's web of made up ones (cftu).   I'm also confused why they always want to relate themselves to ECC by talking about "Traveler" all the time.  Are these meant to be decoy statements or something? Anyway,  Good job!

ScotsAlan:

Ha ha ha.

All I am trying to do is try to help stop the stupid spamming that appears on this site every few months.

Yeah, we know there are scams in China. There are scams everywhere.  But all the reported scams in China seem to related. The websites that feature them are all inter-related. And every now and then someone comes on here to plug these sites.  And it always ends up at this secretive CFTU website.

Now here is the thing. Yes there are people working here illegally.  There are people working illegaly in every country on earth. But get this, they are adults. It's up to them.  If they get caught they get thrown out. The same as in any other country.  Sure it happens, but you don't need to make up stories about it all the time. We can all read China Daily.

I don't know that many teachers in China, but the ones I do know are happy enough. They get paid and they get paid ok. They are the silent majority.

In the meantime, there seems to be a very loud minority screaming scam scam scam at every opportunity.  And that screaming minority always points at the same websites as proof of their rantings.

Why? Is this a public service, or is it a ploy to publicize their website?

It's not a public service is it.  It's annoying spamming. And spamming indicates scamming. What's the scam?  I done a bit digging and found a link.

Do people fall for it?  I doubt it very much. But if you read any scam baiting sites you would be amazed how far some people will go.

So tell me Wendy, if a teacher gets in touch with you to complain they have not been paid, what do you do? You must be promoting these sites for a reason.

What's the reason Wendy?

As for people on here being recruiters..... so what? They don't spam. They don't pm me with job offers. It's normal everywhere for employers to find recruitment agencies. There are some massive recruitment agencies with revenues in the tens of billions. I got my job through an agency.

I just want to rebump this because our new buddy Billy2013 sure does like to bump visa threads to say he agrees with them!

sorrel:

could you maybe bump a more entertaining thread like an old Vicky one?

they will never lose their value.

Admin, don't 'harmonise' any Strawberry/Vicky questions/threads.she is at least more interesting than any nonsense with the CTFU.

I am curious, what does the CTFU do? I guess they did something bad to gain so much hate here. I know that they blacklisted the company I work at even though I have worked there many years and I have never seen anything weird there.

expatlife26:

CFTU is just a guy who is full of shit spamming links all over the china expat internet for his own ends.

"They" didn't do anything because there is no "they"

Me, ted, riri, scots etc all have posted theories on what they are up to...and every time the guys responds with swarming comments accusing us of being recruiters. they never answer any questions or respond to concerns.

Either they're a really fanatically esl teacher cult, or it's a scam somehow.

Yes Please. Do your job

RiriRiri:

This. And remove their questions, answers and comments too. They make the forum unreadable and that's the only way you'll get him go away for good.
