Just curious how this might compare to if you were dating/married to someone from your home country. (Not judging though). Also, does the "half your age plus seven" rule apply here?

She is just under 3 years younger than me, but mentally, its the other way around
I have an American friend who's 68 years old and his Chinese wife is 28, yet they seem to be very happy. Age is a huge gap between them, but hey, they're happier as a couple than many Chinese couple, and there's no money issues between them. You just have to see who's the right one for you.
I'm 9 years older than her, and I pass the "half+7" rule. Finding a single, never married, no-kids Chinese girl my age (mid 30's) is not easy....so, what can I do?
boomsticks:
This was one of the biggest surprises for me when I got to China...that, as a 31 year old I was basically never going to find a single never-married available girl of my own age or even within a 2 year ballpark...but I adjusted
Im 2yrs 9months older than my wife but I am 2yrs younger than my exwife so if you are only as old as the woman your with I just gained about 5yrs in life expectancy
She's 9 years younger, me 31, she 22. But maturity-wise you wouldn't know it at times.
I'm 8 years older than her but emotionally I would say she is 20 years younger than me.
I am 37 and she is 28. I really felt uncomfortable the first times we dated. I had always dated women around my age before met her. I work in a small town and the only single women are 20 and 70- two extremes for me. But I found her, or she found me.
I am 5 years older, which is good because that way I am nearly as mature as her
(As a non native speaker, I was not sure if mature is the correct word and I typed it in google to find the definition....bad idea)
I'm 15 years older. Emotionally/mentally we meet in the middle. We're both about 12.
am I know expected to remember how old the wife is??? what is next?
first one 10 years, second one 14 years. third 18 years, fourth one uh hmm taking resumes and bank statements, tired of being the sugardaddy,
I am 1 year and 3 months older than my Chinese wife. I am 28, she is 27.
My last ex-girlfriend from back home was the same age as my Chinese wife is.
9 years older. I was 5 years younger than my previous wife so by philbravery's reckoning I just gained an extra 14 years. I can go even harder on the street food now.
I'm 46. She's 26

Wow,That's a pretty big difference.
but again,Age should not be an issue between Love.
Good luck to you guys.
xinyuren:
Thanks. I look like I'm about her age, so it doesn't actually seem like much to us.
Here are the highlights of my partner list:
My age (left) - Her age (right)
17 - 24 (First blood!)
18 - 19
18 - 26 (Killing spree!)
18 - 27 (Dominating!)
18 - 28 (Mega kill!)
18 - 25 (Unstoppable!)
18- 35 (Wicked sick!)
18-22 (Monster kill!)
19 - 29 (God-like!)
And then I got fat and stayed with the same girlfriend until 2 weeks ago. So the last one would be 22 - 28. (Beyond god-like spree ended for a 400 bonus gold).
As an aside...I've noticed, as I'm sure some of you have, the prolific 'thumbs down' being handed about in recent times by god knows who. I think this thread is the most hilarious example yet...every single post given one solitary thumbs down, regardless of how blatantly harmless and free of controversy each of the comments is
Please mystery man/woman, please demonstrate a grasp of irony and don't thumbs down this particular post...go on, I dare you
I'm 56 and she is 46 .......I act 20 and she acts 60 ...step-daughter is 23 and acts 11 ... work in progress!!
Hurry up,Mr mystery, there are still two comments you haven't given thumbs-down.
My husband and I are the similar age. He's just a little bit older than me.
But I look a lot younger than my husband like 5 years LOL
This is an interesting spread overall. I guess I never took into account that the large majority of "available" Chinese women are in their twenties.
