Q: Am I in the twilight zone???

I went to grab some food and on the elevator down i waited with the door open for two old ladies. They freakin ran saying thank you!!! English and chinese!!

The whole way down neither of them stared at me or nothing.

Then we walked outside, me behind them and came across the biggest snail i have ever seen walking across the path.

One old lady stopped and picked it up! My first totally racist thought was " there gonna eat that poor guy".

The other lady said " dont touch that its dirty, leave it"

The lady replied " no, if we leave it here it will die." Then she picked it up and gently placed it in a bush.

WTF is going on here??? 80 year old ladies running so i dont wait for them?? Since when have they ever cared about anyone else?? Worrying about the well being of a slug????

Full moon tonight guys, look out. There are crazies out there!!!

I have met some nice Chinese people like that... but usually they are young females or gay Chinese males looking to score...

This touches upon something I have been thinking a lot about. Since coming to China I have met a lot of really nice, caring, friendly individuals. On the other hand the society as a whole is, well, the opposite. Which is strange since the society is made up by individuals and I don't have a good explanation for this discrepancycy.
