i mean seriously. I sent my cv to this company, they reply me within 1 hour inviting me for an interview next week thursday. I replied asking politely whether it was possible to have it earlier as i need to give a feedback to another company...and they cancell my interview saying sorry, we dont want to delay your chances....
is me wrong?

Right or wrong, it seems you can forget about that job.
It's probably a good thing. In my China experience the worst schools tend to eliminate themselves and the right job seems to just fall into your lap.

I would have handled it differently. Just ask if it’s possible to have the interview sooner without giving a reason. They don’t want to waste time having an interview if you are having are on the verge if signing elsewhere. I do find the logic about loyalty a little different in asia.
@Dokken, true. But I think Stiggs indeed has a point even if it wasn't an English teaching centre but a chinese company in the sharing bike business. And again, probably i should be happy that i didn't have that interview.
In my experience, english schools are mostly way professional and" honest"than chinese companies.
Don't volunteer information. ..pretend that you are Chinese and only tell them as little as possible. ..if that .
You have the right to remain silent. If you do say anything it may be used against you because thats the type of people you are dealing with
The basic principal of business etiquette is nonexistent in China. Principals such as common courtesy, cognitive awareness, and politeness aren't commonplace in rural settings. When any "agents", HR staff, or other "admins" make a determination, it's pretty much resolute at that point. If you call a person out on brash behavior, they will most often correct themselves; but they generally won't identify with western mannerisms or social values.
I do think in this case, companies back home would be the same. If you say that you are applying to other companies and you may get a job offer, they will lose interest. They think you’re not really bothered about this job, and would question your judgement for over sharing information. Enthusiasm needs to come from both sides in an interview. Telling them about other job offers is silly
