Q: American citizens, what do you need to do after you get married in China

If you're an American citizen and you get married in China what do you need to do after you get married.  I guess you need to go to the US Embassy to give them something proving you are now married but I can't find anything on the US Embassy site.

Also if you do need to go back to the US Embassy after you get married in China what type of fees will you need to play.

no need to go back unless you intend to immigrate your spouse for some forms or register a child for a passport.

SoFresh:

Thanks.  I sent you  a PM with some more detailed questions if you have time to check it out.

You don't have to give them anything. If you intend to take her home with you, the i-130 itself will prove that you're already married, and they'll recognize it. Just get your marriage documents ready: translate them to English and get them notarized.

The fee for the i-130 immigration form is $420. The fee for her medical examination is about 800 RMB. The fee for her entry to the U.S. is $160.
