Q: An amusing experience
I thought I would share this amusing experience which I encountered this weekend. I had to get some passport sized photographs taken so went to the local photo booth store in my neighbourhood. The staff were really nice spoke basic English and took the photos no problem and asked me to come back in a few minutes. I returned and was handed over the photos to which I burst out laughing, it did not look like me!!
Firstly as a dark skinned person I was a few shades lighter, my nose was altered it looked like I had a nose job, acne and blemishes had magically disappeared even though the photo shop version looked great I did not look like the same person. The staff didn’t see what the problem was and were good enough to print of the originals but seems baffled to why I would want the original talk about giving someone a complex.
I will give both versions of the photos to my manager next week and see which one he prefers and most importantly which one is acceptable.
So does anyone have funny random stories which they would like to share?
This is aparently common. My wife Just picked up her Visa photos and got the same thing. We specifically said NO ALTERATIONS as this is what the Canada website said but i guess now my wife is white it seems. Very white.
These idiots actually seem pissed we expected the originals.

I just recently renewed my UK passport through the office in GZ, the same office that deals with UK visa applications. I was last minute with the photos and though I'd find a photo shop nearby. Nothing but fortunately there was one of those photobooths on the ground floor that gave you a choice of different types. I chose the UK passport one and it was perfect! Showed worry lines, skin imperfections & all. Definitely no alterations!

Yep... Most id pictures I had were photoshopped. I'm pale white with a pink tint, and not exactly the smoothest skin ever. It end-up looking like I'm embalmed or a wax sculpture. Our wedding picture are untentionaly hilarious, due to the shoddy photoshopping (ie. barely competent assistant + very short delays).
