Q: Animal bloodsports in China?

Not entirely sure, but I think cockfighting comes from China...are there any legal or even illegal animal bloodsports in the country? Are they common/popular? Which provinces can you find it in?

if you´re up to an adrenaline rush, and you have time to travel to wuxi, you should try their:

cricket fighting!!!!!

i was told: "Lowest bet is usually 88 rmb - remember to never bet on number 4 as it is a bad number in China and the litteraly pull out on leg of the number 4 cricket so it never wins. Be careful who you look in the eye as the local mafia runs the place.

Good luck and feel free to bring your own crickets or dragonflies."

Possibly not what you had in mind, as its neither 'bloodsport' per se, nor is it done for money, but they have horse fighting to celebrate the harvest in certain provinces.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
