The valid until date is when you have to enter China on that visa (so you can hang out till June for your example).

That being said, it's like every rule in China... it's suject to change at the whim of any offical you are dealing with.

Most 3 month 2 entry L visa'a are only good for 30 days each entry, which means before 30 days is up, you need to exit and then return for another 30 days max stay, then you need a new visa.  I had to do this many times before I got a better visa.  You should check it to see the amount of days per entry (top right hand side of visa).

There are 3 very important things on an "L" tourist visa, and they are:
1.- Validity :  for what period of time is your visa good to use to enter China.
2.- Number of entries :  during validity window in time, how many times will you be allowed to enter China with that visa.
3.- Length of Stay : how many days can you be legally in China during each entry allowed.

In your post, you said it was a 3 months visa, 2 entries.  You did not state the length of stay, so I can not tell you how long you can stay before you depart.  But knowing Hong Kong Chinese Embassy, most of their visas are for a 30 days stay.  If I am right, you MUST leave China 30 days (NOT ONE MONTH) from date of entry to avoid overstay.  Then you can exit China, and come back for a second visit from 5 minutes after you exit until March 15, 2012.
Please, be aware, you can enter China on March 15, 2012 eventhough your visa expires that day, and stay the number of days allowed if you choose to do so.  On March 15, your "L" visa is good and allows you to enter China (if still have entries available) for the given length of stay.

Please, do not overstay the number of days allowed, it will make it very unlikely to get another visa in the future.  You will pay a fine, get a letter of reprimand placed on file (accesible to Embassies), and be given 3 to 4 hours of hell at the border.  Heck, you could even get your visa revoked, and expell from the country (deported) depending on severity.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
