Q: Any chance of getting the "NO SMOKING LAW" enforced in an upscale Beijing restaurant?
When I take my wife and kids to an expensive restaurant in Beijing, I don't want to be nauseated by clouds of smoke and then have to pay 600 yuan for the torture! There is no non-smoking section and the private rooms already smell like ashtrays! I am specifically talking about the Beijing Duck Restaurant next Shuang An Department Store in Haidian. Great food and no extra charge for the air pollution. Honestly, although i am not yet racist, I think I may become one if I stay here another year. I have never met more selfish and inconsiderate people in my life. There is more smoke in this restaurant than a temple. And no, I don't want some smart ass to tell me to go eat somewhere else - How do you get the law enforced?
population control is a good thing .second hand smoke is a good way of assisting with population control .average life expectancy in my grampa's time was 68.. he smoke and lived to 78 .....my dad's life expectancy was 72, he lived to 82 ............... only the weak and vulnerable will succumb to little amounts of smoke that they ingest through second hand stuff and they are the weak folks that we do not need to continue to inhabit the earth. smoking something..... many different things, in many different cultures has been going on since the beginning of mankind socialising ....so if you want to start a new generation, a new era of mankind............I suggest you pick a plot on this earth and stake it out to be yours and deny any fiery weeds to be consumed on your plot.
p.s. I think all insurance companies should be shut down and the whole process started again ......out of control ..big time.
Only if you have more money than the smoker AND spend it at the restaurant.
well very simple if you are shelling out that kind of dough go to a restaurant that has a private room.
this is china. they do not care about their own lives and health. you think they are going to care about yours?
