Q: Any good activities in Guangzhou?

I wanted to ask if anyone knows any good activities in Guangzhou, mainly outdoor/sports.

Let me say where I've been and what I've done, and maybe someone can offer a new spot for me to chek out.

I've been to DaFoShan park and had a cycle there

I've been to many other parks, but just walking around them is getting a bit boring.

I've played golf and have been to different driving ranges.

What about things like go-carting?

Any good climbing walls? (apart from the one in 五山)

Sailing?

Anything else?

Thanks in advance for everyones' advice!

There is a group that meet in the Gold Mango bar in Taojin Lu, opposite the garden hotel (line 5).

They call themselves the GZ hash and they organize Saturday afternoon runs and other sporting events.  They also produce a regular email about their activities.  Pop into the Gold Mango and ask Tony (the owner). He will tell all.

I was thinking of joining, but I prefer to sit in the bar.

I think the Paddy Field pub and McCawleys also have rugby teams.

There are go-carts somewhere, but I don't know where. I do know people who have been though.

If you play football (soccer) there is an international league been set up with two divisions. Most of the expat bars have teams. Don't have thier contact details but they have a group on gzstuff

there is also a newly formed American football team.
