Q: Any good surfing spots in China?

Growing up by the coast I got into surfing/bodyboarding at a pretty young age. China's got a HUGE coastline but I hardly ever hear anything about people surfing here. Anyone know of a good place? Oh and I'm well aware of dirty water issues ...I'm just looking for a place first!

I don't/didn't surf, but I have been to Sanya, Hainan and had a good time at this Chinese resort island..........  lots of Russians............. water was good, I did scuba dive........... as with everything about China, suggest not going during one of their holidays!!!!!!!!!!! I was there  January, 2011, not very busy.

Anywhere providing you have a reliable VPN and can tolerate the snail pace internet speeds.

Do they discriminate or stare at the great White sharks? If the Chinese ever made a "Jaws" movie that would clear the beaches.

I'd presume that any "Jaws" concept in any country would  clear the beaches. Except for one's where they practice the deadly yet mysterious art of Great White Shark wrestling.
