Q: Any Hi-Fi selling places in Shanghai? need to buy dvd recorder
I want to buy various Hi-Fi products (an all English no Chinese Sony DVD recorder), possibly home theatre equipment as well, but all the big places in Shanghai just have the 'whole package' kinda thing, not the components. Plus I can't read a thing.
Anyone know any private resellers in Shanghai where I might find this?

I was out walking and noticed a small store selling pots, stereos, hot plates. I didn't stop to look close but the stereo stuff looked like nice small quality pieces. So there must be stores all over carrying some decent stuff. Walmart had DVD, language is usually an option to change.
You could check Walmart that place has everything. As far as private sellers go that kind of thing will be hard to come by unless you can find someone that is moving and is having a sale going on. Also, you can check out ebay they have everything as well and most of the people if not all are private resellers.
better check taobao.com for prices then go to Xujiahui, they have all you need, or visit MediaMart.
