Q: Any men here not married to/dating a Chinese girl?

I honestly have no problem with it, it just seems to be a common trend. I'm dating an expat here in China, although she was born and raised here (American/British) parents. So anyone not with a local girl? Girls you're welcome to comment too, I'm all for equality

I think it would be pretty uncommon.

1, the western men far far far outnumber the the women in China.

2. Not to offend any ladies on the site. But I just plain havent seen many women period, let alone any that I would be attracted to.

3. The majority of women that I have seen have been either African, Philipino, or Russian / eastern european. So you'd be dealing with the same culture issues as you would with a chinese girl.

Not to say I have yellow fever, far from it. I just havent met any western girls.

Funny topic. I'm female, and am single, but if I were looking for something, being fun and games or the real McCoy, I wouldn't go for a Chinese guy, so it would have to be an expat here in China. If it came between choosing a Chinese guy or staying alone for the remainder of my time here...I would choose loneliness.

I'm male, but I can't say I'm surprised at what you say. Chinese men have about as much personality and charisma as a hyena!

I am just more attracted to laowai's haha, I can't help it. Chinese men don't usually cut it for me. Those who have expressed interest in me either follow me or send me messgaes on QQ or Wechat saying that I'm beautiful and they are too shy to speak to me, this is followed by a shy smiley face. C'mon, I want a guy that's gonna march up to me, shove me up against the wall and kiss me...

Yes I miss having burly men around me..is it obvious?

Not surprised. Going strictly on personality, the chinese guys I've seen interact with women tend to be either really meek or super arrogant. It's either, "I know i'm not that great, but I'll treat you like a queen" or "My daddy's cousin is a pretty big wheel at the cracker factory so I must be god's gift to women!" Neither of those strategies work on most western women who see the former as painfully weak and unsexual and the latter as laughably arrogant without any other sex appeal to back it up. I think in China your sexual status is so much in lock-step with your economic status that for example, spending a lot of time in the gym isn't going to help you score if you're poor, and is barely worth the effort if you're already rich.

I'm not. I don't find Chinese girls attractive or interesting at all. In my almost 5 years here I have dated 2 americans, 1 bulgarian and 1 russian.

I love chasing Chinese skirt but if it came to a long term relationship I'd want someone I could really get along with and is very open minded. So people can say China has so many girls bla bla bla but then if you take this factor into account the number goes significantly down.

As much as I am able to take part in Chinese customs I don't want to be try and changed by a girl. I can't be the laowai and then just do everything a Chinese dude would do.
