Q: Any tips for long distance relationships?

I am from the U.S. and my boyfriend is Chinese. I'll be working in China next year, but he'll be going abroad for work. I'm really sad that he'll be gone and I don't really know how to handle the distance. He'll be gone for a year. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you already have a long distance relationship.

Didn't he know you were coming to China?

Advice: enjoy your time. A Chinese guy will definitely be sewing his wild oats.

All you both need is discipline. Make sure that you contact each other everyday at a certain time. Be honest with each other about trust and you should be fine. I was in South Africa and the Mrs. was here in China. It was really difficult but we trusted each other and got through it.

My girlfriend is Chinese girl. I'm trying to go China but it's hard to find a job in China. If I had a job then my problem is solved... now I'm in one year relationship with my Chinese girlfriend.
